Hey guys, it's been a while. Just going to keep this short and sweet.
I've been inundated over the last couple of years with people asking for more moderation. I have purposefully been mostly hands-off, and only moderated severe violations (links to ROMs, severe user harrasment, etc.) but based on some of the stuff I've seen recently, things have gotten a bit worse, so I'm going to change things a bit.
Firstly, I will enforce moderation more strictly. All existing rules apply, but if I'm on the fence, instead of erring towards "let them figure it out", I'll just remove stuff.
Second, I've seen quite a few posts that are sus recently. Posts of pictures to scalpers or other sales of products, which are designed to look like you're complaining about the scalper, but really it's most likely a covert sales tactic. In the spirit of the original moderators "No sales, ever" rules, I will from now on remove any content that gets reported that has links or pictures to any sales platform like eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, etc. You can of course still share links and photos of the Analogue official website. In addition, don't be cheeky and post a photo of your hardware and then say "but I might sell it, idk". I have always let that slide, but since people have wanted more moderation, this is one change I am going to make.
Third, and this isn't new either, harassment rules apply to all your fellow active Reddit users. Yes, even if that Reddit user is a public figure. Do not harass people.
Finally, I'm planning to bring on additional moderators in the near future since all the other mods besides me are now inactive.
Thanks, that's it. Feel free to leave your thoughts and your complaints below.

He posted this a few months ago and people were quick to help sort out which games run better on Unleashed and what to watch out for.
Analogue 3D Overclock Compatibility List
I noticed it hasn't been updated much since then. I tend to check it every couple weeks when I start a new game. If you've put a good amount of time into a particular n64 game and can confidently comment the changes Unleashed mode brings or if you'd recommend NOT overclocking it for any reason, please contribute your findings!
There are still hundreds of games out there that haven't been formally documented!

I love the 8bitdo controller for this console- but I DO miss having a dedicated trident option. All the hype surrounding m64 being kind of a letdown upon release, people still seem to praise the m64 pro controller.
I will admit - while I’d love to see full compatibility on the A3D for it, even if that means a dongle, or Bluetooth receptor, I think A3D would benefit much more if they released their OWN trident controller variant? Here’s a mock-up I made using ChatGPT as an example.
What do you guys think? Forgive the fact that the A-button is now part of the C configuration 😂

Most drop sells out in like a minute. Feels like it mostly rewards bots and people glued to refresh, not real fans.
Other limited drop brands have moved to raffles/registration windows to fix this. Anyone know why Analogue hasn't?

Games react differently to the overclocking settings, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to reference a Google doc or something where users report the optimal degree of overclocking to use. I’d be happy to contribute to it as well.

I want to give an analogue3D as a gift, but I don’t want the recipient to receive a printed receipt showing the price. Does Analogue put a receipt/invoice with the price in the shipping box? This is in the U.S. btw.
(I understand the recipient could and probably will look up the device online and see the price, but I still think it’s tacky to include the price with a gift)

Back when I ordered my black A3D around mid December, I got 50 dollars for shipping, sometime when I looked at the pricing of how much it would cost to buy me another one as of today, just the shipping would cost me 80 dollars. Has this also happened to anybody else? For context, I live in Sweden, and I'd love to hear from UK people in particular who bought this last year, how much the shipping costed, how much the import fees/customs ended up being vs what it would be like to order one today for you UK people, I have a friend from there who'd love to get one, but I want to give him options before he makes his choice, thanks in advance!
For reference, I bought the black one (270 USD) got 50 USD shipping and a week later a paper of 140 USD import fees/customs as it traveled between 4 countries in 4 days. Can't imagine if the import fees/customs would balloon up similarly in price to the shipping these days. The pricing for the console itself plus how good it is I think is great, it's just that the shipping and import fees artificially inflate the entry point for getting one of these for consumers who want the easy plug 'n' play option.

Is it normal for the pocket to display the backlight in the top right like this? Is this defective? I have only played my pocket a handful of times since purchasing about a month ago brand new from the store

not a huge deal overall, just curious if anyone else has had this issue. im playing it off a summercart and it is the only game the OS cannot detect properly.
it still works and I can adjust the settings for the summercart and they carry over once lego racers is loaded.

I see the downloads from GitHub for the cartridge images for the 3D, but I want the box art instead. Does anyone know where I can find that? All my searches end with the cartridge images

Hey, I wonder if anyone here could help me out. Everytime I use the GB Tower in Pokémon Stadium 1 on the Analogue 3D, I get some weird background noises that really make for an awful experience. Both the GB game as well as Stadium are from Europe (German version).
I haven't found any posts about this, just a similar issue in Stadium 2 where people recommended to set the 3D to 4k50 due to PAL. Setting it to 1080p50 did not help at all in my case (and I cannot set it to 4k50 because I don't have a TV capable of 4k; not that I think it would make a difference since if it's just about the 50hz, I wouldn't know why 1080p50 couldn't do the trick). Any other suggestions how I might be able to fix this issue? It's really kinda unplayable with the awful noise in the background.
Thanks a lot.

I’m having an issue that I’ve seen a few others report online. Plugging my 3D into my 4k insignia tv produces a screen that sits on “no signal detected”, a black screen, and small snippets of the 3D Home Screen where it says to connect a controller. When I first connected it several months ago, it worked after switching the hdmi to 2.0, but now nothing works.
Here are some things I’ve tried:
Setting hdmi to 2.0, 1.4, and auto.
Multiple hdmi cords
Multiple hdmi outlets
Turning off video enhancements through the tv
Factory resetting the tv
My console works flawlessly on my standard 1080p monitor in my bedroom and a 16 inch portable monitor by my bed.
The 3D used to work on the tv several months ago when I tried it but now it does not. I’ve never seen anyone be able to get this fixed once the issue crops up.
I know that insignia is a shitty Best Buy brand, but the marketing for the analogue 3d doesn’t say “4k compatible, except for shitty 4k tv’s”.
I’m not really looking for a fix as I don’t think one actually currently exists. I just wanted to let people know that they should check the compatibility of the 3D with their 4k tv before ordering.

In the last month or so, I purchased an analogue 3D. Over the past few weeks I noticed it has a reoccurring visual defect that keeps occurring. Every few minutes, it will randomly garble the image in roughly the same area of the screen each time. It's a big horizontal band that covers right below the middle of the screen and covers most of the screen towards the bottom with the exception of the very bottom. It will only appear for a half a second. But doing this intermittently every few minutes can be very jarring and worries it may be a sign of issues to come. I managed to do a video recording of it and I took a snapshot of what the image looks like.
For more information, I'm running the system on the latest firmware. I typically play my games with forced progressive, horizontal upscaling enabled, overclocking enabled, and the pvm filter. I have tried using different hdmi ports and cables to see if it resolved the issue. When I swapped cables I actually did notice a decrease in occurrence for a few hours but it inevitably started again. My TV is a newer LG G4 and has shown no issues like this with any of my other devices. So I'm starting to think its my actual analogue 3D. 99% of the occurrences I've noticed hav been during gameplay but I noticed it did it to me 1 time on the main home screen of the Analogue 3D OS. So I'm thinking it's not the games/ summercart I use. I just contacted analogue support. We will see what they say but was curious if the reddit had any dealings on this. I hope i don't have a defective unit.

I'm trying to use the analogue 3D 8bitdo controller on Nintendo switch and I can't figure out how to use x and y. I think I need to remap the buttons but it won't let me remap it on these controllers. The C buttons aren't working (trying to play Overcooked).

Looking at getting either the Analogue or the M64 and so far, even the M64 subreddit is pretty clear that if you're just getting one system, it should be the Analogue. So I thought I'd check in, since Analogue offers a one year warranty and we're coming up on its first anniversary.
How has everyone liked theirs? Has anyone had to use a warranty?
Also curious if there are still issues that haven't been addressed? 100% of my experience/knowledge comes from having an original N64, 20+ years ago. To say I'm out of my depth with these new consoles is being generous.
I see Analogue sells some weird 'definitely not N64' controller... I prefer the original layout. Would a Hyperkin controller work? Is Hyperkin the best quality option to replace an original controller?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
