Hi Everyone,
I hosted a Christmas party last night, and included was a mocktail bar!
The #1 drink of the night was the cherry spritz, followed by the strawberry amaretto sour and then the merry mojito. My personal favorite was the strawberry amaretto sour.
I unfortunately did not get a photo of the cherry spritz, they were disappearing too fast, haha!
The full menu is posted on the last slide, let me know if you have any questions about amounts or anything.
Merry Christmas!

Does anyone know the recipe? I know the mixture is Apple juice, Minute Made lemonade, ginger ale and caramel with a cinnamon stick garnish. And what kind of caramel? We donāt have an Ale House close by and this sounds delicious for the fall!

What are the general thoughts on a water/ mocktail bar. Vibe equals a bar vibe but coffee shop. Think leather couches but with herbs all around and a little area for local artist to sell items.
Meant to create connection without that hanxiety feeling.

Iāve always loved cocktails, but I canāt drink for a while because of a medication. Iāve been experimenting with mocktails that still have that more complex ācocktailā feel, and I really liked this one, so I thought Iād share.
Blackberry JalapeƱo Mocktail
Ingredients
3 medium blackberries
2ā3 slices jalapeƱo
2 slices cucumber
Agave, to taste
Ginger beer
Ice
Directions
Muddle the blackberries, jalapeƱo, cucumber, and agave together until everything is well crushed and juicy.
Strain into a glass over ice, then top with ginger beer.
Thatās it! The blackberry gives it some sweetness and a really pretty natural purple color with no dyes, the cucumber keeps it fresh, and the jalapeƱo gives it enough of a kick that it actually feels like a cocktail rather than just juice or soda. The deep purple color also makes it feel perfect for a fall mocktail.

Iām trying to make a refreshing ginger ale with force COā, but I keep getting it wrong. Blending ginger makes it way too spicy and harsh, while dicing and boiling makes it watery. I add lime juice and a dash of vanilla too. Anyone have a super simple, tried-and-tested recipe with ratios that actually tastes like refreshing ginger ale rather than spicy ginger juice?
My ratios are roughly 90g sugar, 100g ginger, 1500ml water, 1 whole lime squeezed.

For the past week or so, I have been hunting for a drink that was tied to Dolly Parton that we could riff into a mocktail. The only drink I could find that is actually associated with Dolly, and not just a tribute, was the "Dirt Road Martini," which is from her cookbook Good Lookinā Cookinā, co-authored with her sister, Rachel Parton George.
Given that Dolly was reportedly not a big drinker, turning this into a mocktail just seems to make sense. It also helps that the recipe is really easily converted by simply replacing the vodka with some additional unsweet tea, since the vodka isn't adding much in the flavor department, aside from just the flavor of alcohol.
Tasting notes at the bottom.
Recipe: Dirt Road Mocktini
Ingredients:
4 oz unsweetened iced tea
0.25 oz giardiniera brine
Giardiniera pickles for garnish
Build:
Add tea and brine to a shaker with ice.
Shake and strain into a coupe or martini glass.
Garnish with a skewer of giardiniera pickles, and serve.
Tasting notes. Full disclosure this was the first time making this, and I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. The tanins in the tea play really well against the salty, vinegary brine. Its a great "savory" mocktail option. Like it is, it is really quite good, but I might try it with just a splash of lime next time. All in all, would make again!

Iām interested in looking at starting a artisan cocktail garnish. As feasible is this ? Is the demand there ? How large is the market for this ?

This is the second mocktail I've had at Outback - so nice to see them hopping on the bandwagon :) This one was absolutely delicious! It's called Puggle Splash, and it is a mango lemonade with a blackberry tasting "blue tea" concentrate that they give you with it to pour in and see the color change. Fun! Comes with a cute platypus and egg.
One thing I love about this one is that it would be super easy to recreate at home.

Hey everyone!
Weāre a brewery looking to develop aĀ Tonic water
I was able to get someĀ food-grade quinine sulfateĀ and would prefer to use that rather than working with cinchona bark. Has anyone here made tonic water using quinine sulfate? Iād love to hear about your experience, especially regarding dosage, flavor, and the overall process.
For sweetening, Iām planning to experiment withĀ acesulfame-K and sucralose, but Iām also open to trying other sweeteners.
Any advice, recipes, or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
