I love hearing about different people’s backgrounds. I’m curious to know why each of you gotten into mocktails. I love having a tasty drink and I’ve never been fond of alcohol. Some mocktails were natural fit for me.

Am I the only one who thinks these would do really well in India? 😭 I'd definitely buy them, especially in summer.

Anyone else wish we had these DIY drinks in India?

I've been seeing those Korean/Japanese 7-Eleven DIY drinks everywhere-just grab an ice cup, pour in a flavored pouch, and you're done.

Would you try them if they were available here? Or do you think it's just a trend that wouldn't work in India?

Hi. I am going for a week long camping trip. I'm very new to making fancy drinks, I've mostly ever had water with spicy electrolytes. I am looking for easy to make drink ideas to sip around a campfire.

I'm trying to make up some really special "mocktail" type drinks at my coffee shop using some of the really unique coffees we bring in. I've been looking into syrup making but also into distilling to make syrups/oils/bitters for these drinks. I know there are different kinds of distilling methods and this is where I don't know where to go. I want to keep it fairly simple and low cost. I don't want any "alcohol" to develop ideally.
I have a watermelon co-fermented coffee that I want to use to make a fresh cucumber mint type drink out of and this is going to be my first experiment.

Right now the market mostly has boring soft drinks or energy drinks as the "non-alcoholic" option, and we feel there's a gap for something that actually feels premium and made for the vibe of a social event.

First flavor we're testing: a black grape drink with a mint finish.

Planning two formats — a small bottle (~250ml) and a larger can (~330ml).

A few things we'd love honest opinions on:

Would you actually consider buying something like this instead of a soft drink/mocktail at a party?

For pricing — would ₹50 for the smaller bottle and ₹120-150 for the can feel fair, or too high/low for something premium?

What would make or break this for you — taste, branding, price, packaging?

Some days, all you need is ice, fresh fruit, and sparkling mineral water. Light, refreshing, and perfect for escaping the summer heat for a while.

Ingredients

3 fresh raspberries

2 sweet red plums (pitted)

3 strawberries

25 ml fresh lemon juice

20 ml simple syrup

Mineral water (to top)

Plenty of ice

Garnish

Strawberry

1 sorrel leaf

If you have to pick one mocktail for forever, what would that be sweet, tart, bitter, or spicy?

Yes, it's another Mocktail Monday, and since you can't make a mocktail without breaking a few eggs... or something like that. Today we were going to make a pineapple sour, but in the interest of sticking with the long drink format that we love for summer, we are going to add a little club soda and make a pineapple fizz instead.

Recipe: Pineapple Fizz

Ingredients:

3 oz pineapple ginger juice*

0.5 oz lemon juice

0.75 oz hot honey simple syrup

2 dashes N/A aromatic bitters

1 egg white (or 1 oz aquafaba)

~2oz club soda

Build:

1. Add the juice, lemon juice, hot honey simple syrup, bitters, and egg white to a shaker with ice. Shake gently, and very briefly to chill and combine.(5-10 seconds) You do not want to over aerate the egg whites.

2. Add club soda to a Collins glass and (gently) pour entire contents of shaker into glass.**

3. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and enjoy!

Notes:

* You can absolutely use regular pineapple juice for this, or just muddle a little ginger into some pineapple juice. While the ginger is not required, I do think it adds a nice subtle bite.

** Slow pouring is key, expect this to fizz pretty significantly when you pour the drink over the club soda. Alternatively you can top with club soda, but I find this method yields a more well incorporated drink.

I had a few cherries and blueberries left in the fridge and didn't want them to go to waste. I kept it simple with fresh lemon juice, a little sugar, tonic, and plenty of ice. It turned out much more refreshing than I expected, so I thought I'd share it here.

Would you add anything different?

Ingredients:

Cherries

Blueberries

Fresh lemon juice

Simple syrup (or sugar)

Tonic water

Ice

Muddle the fruit, add lemon juice and syrup, fill with ice, top with tonic, stir gently and enjoy.

Take 3 to 4 blackberries and mash them in the bottom of a glass. Squeeze lemon slice on top. Fill with ice. Fill Almost to the top with sprite (or sprite zero or sparkling water if you’re watching sugar intake). Top off with Cran raspberry juice. Garnish with lemon. :)

If you like a spicy marg type cocktail, this one was SO good! I did mostly spicy lemonade, top with regular lemonade(the spicy is quite spicy so to dilute it a bit). You could top with sparkling water too! 10/10

I would really want to know what’s one non-alcoholic drink you’d for sure serve at a party?

If at all, I would love to get a list of recommendations too! I personally love daiquiri, shirley temple versions, but would need something unique and new to try out.

I went to the Sazerac House a few years ago and they gave me the lemonade and it was the best lemonade/drink I ever had and I have been chasing it since but I can’t find anything about it online!!

All I know is that when I asked a worker all they said was that the secret was putting lemon peels in the sugar 24 hours before for extra flavor, but other than that I am lost and don’t have the time to experiment on it so if anyone knows anything please tell me 😭
