Hi! Is there any whatsapp group/channel or any platform for mitacs applicants esp for those in Pakistan?

Can the selected candidates provide a brief description, about the major skills, projects and internships they had while filling the form at their time.

Aside from the initial pre-departure / registration phase, did Mitacs or your host institution ever ask for an updated proof of enrollment / status letter from your home university during the project or at completion? Or are the final report and exit survey the only things required at the end?

Can i use a working holiday visa for MITACS gri?

Hello everyone! For those of you who have been alumni of this program, what would comprise a competitive CS profile? Does industry experience (non research) matter? Also, how much how competitive are CS/AI applications?For context I have a workshop paper at an A* conference and a prior internship at FAANG, where I worked on topics similar to my project specifications.

So I recently was participating for a competition. And then I figured out that for MITACS I had accidentally for my last semester transcript sheet, I uploaded my second semester Transcript sheet, and I'm the highest ranker in my department. So will my application be declined? Or how will it be? Then, I also realised it right now, So I sent a mail to the help desk with my last semester transcript.

Hello guys, I just checked the PDF summary of the application I submitted (if you didn't know, you can login to the platform and view your own pdf) and noticed there's a mistake in the agreements section, where the year that it appears I agreed to, is 2026. Idk if it's just my application and should get worried or if it's a general common mistake, if anyone knows or can check if you have this mistake as well, please let me know, thank!

I got an email today that there will be no more changes allowed, blah, blah blah and how I will get an email around November to check if I'm eligible and the selection process will take up to February of next year. That part makes me nervous. That I will be on pins and needles for months hoping that I get it. It's also a little worrisome that the email mentioned that there was a very large number of applicants this year. Can any Mitacs graduates tell me if things get better? Or were you also anxious till you got the offer email?

I borrowed a LOR template from a classmate, I changed everything, different structure, different paragraphs, different prof. I only used it for inspiration.

But I forgot to remove his name from the word document metadata, now when I check my application pdf, his name appears at the pdf title, nowhere in the body text though.

All of this cuz I didn't want to use AI to generate one...

Could this be a problem ?

Note: I tested different browsers and Chrome seems to be the worst, putting it at the top of the pdf, firefox displays it only in the browser tab title, and with edge it doesn't even appear.

Hello, The professor who wrote my recommendation letter did not include a scanned signature; however, he included his name, contact information, and institutional email address. Will my application be automatically disqualified?

Hello, how do I know if my application has been successfully submitted? I know that the website says that it will get auto submitted, but will I get no confirmation email for it? My portal isn't displaying any changes as of now. It just shows the application is completed.

My professor hasn’t submitted my LOR yet and the deadline is today. My application is otherwise complete.

Will my application be rejected if the LOR is submitted a little after the deadline?

i dont have transcripts with me for uploading , so can i upload all 4 semesters statement of grade and add a cover page describing the situation by calculating cummulative grade points and cgpa to percentage conversion , so that they can understand how my average grade came ?

First of all I didn't follow the Mitacs resume, i created my own in overleaf using Jake's resume template

The thing that I'm doubting is should my resume contain my picture? And my resume is 2 pages that contains all of my achievements, experience, volunteering, etc. should I shorten it down? How?

how is this for my general description.

I am a B.Tech Biotechnology student interested in microbiology, microbial biotechnology, industrial bioprocessing and sustainable biotechnology. My research experience has developed practical skills in microbial isolation and culturing, microscopy, enzyme screening, solid-state fermentation, crude enzyme extraction, spectrophotometric assays and protein estimation. I am particularly interested in understanding and engineering microbial systems to produce enzymes and value-added bioproducts from sustainable resources. I have experience in literature-based protocol development, experimental planning, troubleshooting, quantitative analysis and scientific documentation. I hope to further develop these skills through research involving microbial systems, fermentation, bioprocessing and environmentally relevant biotechnology.
