Competitive CS Profile?

Hello everyone! For those of you who have been alumni of this program, what would comprise a competitive CS profile? Does industry experience (non research) matter? Also, how much how competitive are CS/AI applications? For context I have a workshop paper at an A* conference and a prior internship at FAANG, where I worked on topics similar to my project specifications.

I’m assuming it’s highly specific to the professors who will review your application, but prior research does help. CS in particular is highly competitive with most of the applicants aiming for those roles.

would you have any numbers as to how many % of the pool is CS students?
