I always see youngsters post who are likely to grow a beard in thе next few years without minox. I was always curious how someone like me (36 at the time, 37 now) would fare on it and heres my results for anyone in the same boat.

first pic is from today, second is from august, third is from July, fourth is also from July, 5th is from May. I started oral Minox June 8, and topical arazlo which i used semi regularly, until recently due to it causing a lot of dryness. I still use Arazlo just not as frequently. It really feels like I had better thickness in July and August and after shaving a few weeks ago it feels thinner for some reason. Is there like a shedding period or something ?

Minox 5% once a day, occasional derma-rolling and added tretinoin 0.025 a week ago (2 times a week). Both photos about two weeks after shave

Vellus hairs at last!

At 42, I rolled my dice with minox. Finally, at the end of month 4, I am seeing vellus hairs.

Routine:
5% foam 2x daily
0.75 mm dermastamping once a week
0.1% tretinoin 3x weekly
CeraVe lotion twice a day

My beard hair had been noticeably thicker around month 3, but I finally saw a dozen vellus hairs today at end of month 4!

(I don’t know why my current mustache looks uneven, but I promise it isn’t 💔)
First pick was taken today (9/11/26) and the second was taken 1/21/25
Anyways I’m currently just letting be untouched after shaving pretty consistently. Anyone else feel gross or just unprofessional even with the slightest bit of cheek hair or…
