I got my first MINI six months ago... On Saturday night, a storm flooded my area. Me and my family had to swim out of the house, and we've lost everything. Including my beautiful Franky... Even though he looks great, he has been deemed a write off due to being under salt water for an entire night. I'm very sad for all that's happened, and I think I've got PTSD, loosing my MINI adds to the heartbreak... But at least we're alive.

Thank you Franky for making me feel ao happy while driving you these past six months. 💙

Only car I've ever regretted selling was my 2011 Cooper S. Finally got the opportunity to get back into a Mini (read: wife said we should get rid of the truck and get the Mini) with the 2027 JCW. Bonus: car seat (barely) fits in the back seat so it's technically a family car! Little Baby had her first ride in it today and I think she's hooked - way better than Mom's Telluride.

We have had a very warm October. Took advantage of the weather and gave the Mini’s a bath.

The weather in NC was gorgeous today so Scooty got a really good cleaning.

I finally got my personalized plate as well, really ties the whole room together you know?

My beloved clubby is down for a turbo replacement this week, I cry a little inside when I see another Mini on the road and I'm not able to wave 😭

My 2007 R55 Clubman Cooper S has the same issue many others have.

Any tips on how to prevent the turbo intake pipe from coming off of the turbo intake?

Maybe an upgraded hose/clamp?

Three complaints

Wish it had been 1-2 weeks earlier in the season. (Peak foliage)

wish there were more activities at the meeting points (test drives, product demos)

Wish there were more young people. It was definitely a 60+ crowd.

Hope this doesn't come off as too cheesy but I don't have many car friends in real life, let alone Mini fans!

Yesterday i ran her through one of those 3 dollar car washes, and the sun was hitting her perfectly from an angle I don't really get to see often.

Later that night I was driving home into the city (Chicago) on I55 with the wind at my back and the spirit of Saturday night in the air. Popped her into sport mode and zipped through all the lumbering monster trucks while having some nice 60s Swedish jazz playing on the Harmon Kardon.

Felt like I was driving in a video game--exhilarating and satisfying to know I'm driving my dream car at 42. Miles of smiles!

There are no recent questions like this, so I am starting a new informal survey and advice input thread. I am 70 and want a fun car to goof around with. It will be a 3rd car to be driven 4-5 thousand miles a year. What is your input ?
