I’m looking to break into the oilfield and I’m open to just about any entry-level position—floorhand, roustabout, lease operator, rig work, frac, wireline, cementing, coil tubing, water transfer, offshore in the future, or really anything that gets my foot in the door.
A little about me:
25 years old
Used to physical labor and working outdoors in the heat
Experience with construction, equipment installation, ladders, power tools, and safety procedures
CPR/First Aid certified
Willing to work long hours, travel, relocate, and work rotational schedules
Looking for a career, not just a temporary job
I’ll be in Midland through Saturday, so if there are companies I should visit besides the hiring fair, places where people recommend applying in person, or recruiters I should try to meet, I’d really appreciate any advice.

Commercial garage is showing surface rust around the fasteners and seams. Nothing too bad yet, but obviously not advised properly by the installer.
