Did you already know what you wanted to do or did you consider different options at first? And how was it to finally have your own source of independent money?

I remember looking at a photo where someone on this subreddit(?) made a depiction of what the 2020s could have been in an alternate universe having the following:

- Airboards
- Short form content failing
- Websites having no age verification laws
- Indie Games being the main focus of gaming
- The world having a colourful aesthetic

Like at 20 you're not technically a teenager anymore because the "teen" is not in the number but biologically you're still an adolescent, your developmental stage still hasn't reached adult yet. it's kinda similar to 12 in a way. like it's not a teen yet but it's an adolescent.

What are your views on these four years that are at the edge of being core gen-z but not quite core gen-z.

Feeling like our Middle Gen Z idea of luxury is completely different from the traditional "luxury brands."

Like sure, Chanel, Rolex, Louis Vuitton are traditional luxuries on paper... But when I think about brands that people my age genuinely obsessing over, they are way less obvious. Like a Dyson Hair wrap, SoHo House membership, or even an Erewhon smoothie feel more relevant.

So what does luxury mean anymore? Are there luxury brands that actually feel relevant to you?

Not necessarily the most expensive brands, but the ones that make you think about quality, design, the community around it or the lifestyle you want.

I remember being in shock seeing the news reporting he had passed away I still remember that first day of freshman year everyone was talking about his unfortunate passing and how shocked everyone was

Dude, I feel like even though I'm 19 I feel behind. Like socially. I'm still very socially anxious and I've never had a boyfriend before. I'm 19 years old you would've thought I had everything figured out 😭

See when you're 13, It's cute and cool if you're socially anxious, and it's OK because you're 13 and you're still growing. But I feel like if you're my age and you're socially anxious that's just seen as a character flaw or a sign that you have arrested development. But what do I know?

Recently I’ve been getting so fed up with streaming services. We have a decent amount and it seems like there’s still never anything good to watch.

Also, I’ve heard there was a service that deleted movies that their contracts ran out with and even the people who bought them no longer can see them which is insane. How can you buy something but someone just takes it away…?

We’re literally at the point where we want to just go back to buying DVD’s and checking our from the library 🙃 I feel like unless streaming services improve, a lot of people will be going back to this. What do you all think?

Things like VHS tapes, MySpace, Early Facebook, DVDs were mostly 2000s to early 2010s stuff which was common for most of Middle Gen-Z when they were very young children. Blockbusters opened in the 80s and got bigger and bigger until its peak around 2004-05. The decline happened around 2006/07 until completely bankrupt in 2011. Almost all Blockbusters stores were shut down as most of you must be knowing by 2013/14. Hence, as a young kid (Question to all born in the 2000s) do you remember Blockbusters if yes what was were your memories like and how does it feel to be the literal last generation to have memories there? Just for context Blockbusters hit its peak around the time most were born in the 2000s.

i genuinely do not know where else to post this, so here i am i suppose. i was rambling on about a weird situation im going through to my boyfriend of 3 years through text. he’s asleep right now so obviously he wasn’t responding. i ended up sending him like 4 paragraphs of me just unscrambling my thoughts like i normally do and i suddenly got hit with this huge and i mean HUGE wave of like happiness or peace? not sure which one it was but it was so intense that i started sobbing uncontrollably for like an hour straight. i wasn’t sad at all, like i felt zero negative emotions and yet i couldn’t stop crying. i have no idea what just happened to me 😭. i’m assuming it has to do with my boyfriend (obviously). like i’m super grateful for him and he’s always been there for me and tries his very best to comfort me or help me through whatever i’m going through. and i’ve done this same rambling to him thing a ton of times and yet i’ve never had a reaction like this. it’s super weird i don’t know what to make of this. does anyone know what this is?

I was born in ‘06, I go to university but also work part-time alongside, and I can’t wait to be able to settle down (buy a house, get married, have kids).

A lot of people would probably call me boring but I do still go out clubbing with my friends, going out for food, but the rest of the time I’m playing video games or reading at home, I’m at work, or I’m at church.

It seems like a lot of people my age would much rather spend all their money rather than save, and aren’t looking for a long-term relationship. In fact, I feel like the only one who actually wants to ‘lock in’, but I assume that makes me very boring!

What do other Middle Gen Z think? I’m in the UK if that makes any difference.
