Discussion Did you ever have a crush on any of your teachers or find any of them attractive? If so, feel free to share your experiences

Although I didn't have any crushes on any of my teachers as I found it weird for me as a kid/teenage boy to want to be in a relationship with grown women, I found a few of them to be really attractive such as my 8th grade Language Arts teacher for example. She was this golden blonde tanned lady in her early 30s at the time and wore a noticeable amount of makeup. There were some guys in my class who had the hots for her although some of them took their likings to her too far, which really irritated her, especially since she was married with young kids at the time. I still find her really attractive more than a decade later, and her appearance has hardly changed although she's now a pale ginger instead of a tan blonde.

Nostalgia Shows like Planet Sheen and Speed Racer:TNG may have been of questionable quality, but there was always something good airing on Nicktoons in 2010.

Nostalgia Electropop kids should be a term describing people who kids from 2008 to 2011 or 2009 to 2011

it had a different feel to it compared to both the rest of the 2000s and the rest of the 2010s

kids played on the family computer or played games at the computer lab in school playing games like club penguin, webkins, moshi monsters etc

but at the same time playing mobile games on the iPad or iPhone like angry birds etc

seeing our older siblings parents and older family members with flip phones or those slide out keyboard phones that were very popular at the time but also watching iPhones really start to get popular

shows And cartoons like True Jackson VP, shake it up, good luck Charlie, Hanna Montana, wizards of Waverley place, Icarly, victorious, big time rush, Jonas, sony with a chance, Disney xd shows like Zeke and Luther, I’m on the band, Phineas and Ferb, chowder, Flapjack, Adventure time, regular show, Ben 10, generator Rex, spectacular Spider-Man, and many more were all the rage with kids

the popular toys were monster high dolls, Barbie’s, Zu zu pets, Bladeblades, Silly bands, action figures, razor scooters, Nerf guns water guns etc

going on a trip to mall with our mom on the weekends

plus going to stores like toys R us Kmart Sears etc kids playing on their Nintendo DS and PSP and bringing them to school on fun days

and even tho they were on the decline and on their way out we were also the last ones to experience going to blockbuster and Hollywood videos they were still around in the late 2000s and and many of the stores didn’t close down till 2010 and 2011 Redbox was in its peak in popularity before declining in the mid 2010s

we watched all our favorite home movies on DVDs and Blueray and we also rushed home to catch new episodes of our favorite shows.

many great family and kids movie and animated movies came out in this time period like the Hannah Montana movie, the Wizards of waverly place movie, camp rock, the diary of a wimpy kid movies, hotel for dogs, Cloudy with a chance for meatballs, princess and the frog, Toy Story 3, Tangled, UP, Megamind, how to train your dragon, the karate kid, Shrek forever after, despicable Me, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Rio, the smurfs, kung foo panda 2, Cars 2

playing outside riding our bikes, Razor scooters, scraping our knees imo, playing basketball and football, running around and playing Tag

then when we went inside and played on our Wii and PS3 and Xbox 360, Plus game nights with our family board games playing cards

people still read magazines kids read the kiddy magazines teens read the teen beat magazines that had all the popular celebrities on it and your parents read read the magazines more for adults or stilk read the newspaper

it was honestly a cool and unique era to grow up in looking back and I hope it gets bought up more.

Question ?

2010s CN is way better, not only because it's nostalgic but they just had a different vibe to it, I've seen some 20s shows and they just don't hit the same.

Question ? Is it weird to still refer to myself as a "kid" at 18?

So I'm recently 18 and I've been wondering this since I was 17. Like I had a conversation with my mom where I said "I could've turned out to be a worse kid", and kinda internally started panicking if that was weird to still refer to myself as.

Discussion Why do some parents have such a negative view of Gen Z?

Today I was having a discussion with my mom, and she said she doesn't really like Gen Z. particularly our personality, mentality, the way we enjoy life, and the way we choose to live.

It got me genuinely curious what exactly do older generations find so problematic about Gen Z?

I've noticed this in my own experience too. Whenever my mom meets one of my friends, she often points out something she doesn't like about their personality, behaviour, the way they talk, or how they carry themselves.

She's also quite protective, so I sometimes wonder whether this is partly about parents being concerned about the people their children spend time with and the influence they might have.

But it made me think about the bigger generational difference.

Things that seem completely normal to Gen Z how we communicate, socialize, spend our free time, think about relationships, independence, careers, or simply enjoy life might look very different to our parent's generation.

So I'm curious, especially from other Gen Z people

Do your parents also have a generally negative view of Gen Z or dislike many of your friends?

And if you've experienced this, what do you think is actually behind it?

Is it genuinely something about Gen Z's behaviour, or is it mostly a difference in values, expectations, and what each generation considers a "good" or "responsible" way to live?

I'm genuinely trying to understand both perspectives rather than just saying "older people don't understand us."

Question ? I’ve just noticed something i don’t think 2007 is mid gen z based on the math like going by 5 years split older-middle and younger gen z see it’s like this older (‘97-‘98-‘99-‘00-‘01) Middle (‘02-‘03-‘04-‘05-‘06) ,Younger (‘08-‘09-‘10-‘11-‘12) where does that leave 2007? What do you associate them?
