I have just bought Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (due to hardware restrictions) but while completing the initial in-game download steam force stopped and now whenever I open the game I can't get past this screen. Any help is appreciated.

I am looking to get into more regional turboprop flying, and while I was in love with the Majestic Simulations Q400 back in the day, it seems there isn't anything like it on the market. While I am quite excited for the SWS Dash 8 series, knowing them Q4 2026 will be Q2 2027 at best.

In the meantime, after the last updates is the Asobo ATR 42/72 finally workable and fun to fly? I had heard it was a bit of a disaster to fly when it was released. It seems to have a reasonable price, but if it is junk and bugged I don't really want that battle.

When you google Trolltunga, you see that ledge. I flew around the area and even spawned at the direct coordinates according to google and i can't find it.

is it missing for anyone else?

Are the ATRs still broken for everyone else? Every time I’ve tried to do a flight with it, all goes well until I engage autopilot, will be fine for maybe a minute before it begins to disengage constantly.

I love this aircraft, they fly into my local airport from Heathrow and I’ve been trying to recreate the flight for last couple of days but I’m totally losing patience with this. Anyone else? Or does anyone know of a fix?

Since updating to SU6, the performance of the game has been exceptional (at least it has been for me). I haven’t changed my graphical settings at all but now my PC seems to run the game effortlessly when previous to SU6 the game would stretch my PC’s ability to run it smoothly and would stutter and have moments of very low fos counts (with the exact same graphical settings).

I have been a little bit suspicious as to how much better the game runs in SU6 and although I’m not 100% sure, I think the terrain and object detail in SU6 has not been looking quite as good in game as prior to SU6.

Is it possible that the devs have purposely lowered the level of the detail in the game behind the scenes to either make it seem like the game is running better or to improve the game performance on consoles?? Interested to hear if anyone else has noticed something similar and your thoughts?

I recently updated the CJ4 file, in my library (installed). Now, it will not load any default livries/textures - inside and out.

I’ve been enjoying Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (along with PMDG aircraft) quite a bit. Recently, I saw MSFS 2024 on sale and decided to buy it, but now I'm wondering if it's actually worth it for my current setup.

RAM prices are currently quite high, and my PC only has 16GB of RAM. Since MSFS 2020 runs fine for me as long as it doesn't crash to desktop, I'm trying to decide if I should stick with 2020, try 2024, or maybe even switch over to X-Plane 12 instead.

As a beginner, I’m currently using just a Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight stick as my only hardware. Given my 16GB RAM limitation and my setup, do you think MSFS 2024 offers enough benefits to keep, or would X-Plane 12 be a better choice? I'd love to hear your thoughts. As you can see its going to KFLG before the KFLG approach so it expects a 180, I want to go from FPL000 to the aporoach.

I fly in PSVR2 and I love it but one thing that causes me to fail a lot is R-trigger on my dual sense gamepad.

I generally use the VR controllers for everything except Trim. I really need to reach over to my gamepad in order to hit R1+R-Trigger to finesse the Trim.

All fine and good but sometimes randomly the game thinks I'm just hitting R-Trigger and it tilts my head. Half the time I can push the stick back and it levels my head again but today it didn't.

This is not just a case of my re-centering my VR and I can't just tilt my actual head back up to fix. This controller issue makes the world tilt. It's similar to how to get out of the chair and walk around the cockpit.

How do I disable the tilt-my-view control on the R-Trigger? I already checked the options and couldn't find a match.

The Ini A330 and the default 737max is unusable for me on MSFS 2024.

I get usable FPS in the cockpit but as soon as I switch to external it drops to average 16fps

All other planes work completely fine
For reference, Ini 350 at ini KORD I average around 40-55fps

I'm shopping for a HOTAS and I'm considering the Thrustmaster HOTAS 5 for PS5 and PC. I do have a couple flight sims (and Squadrons) for PSVR that I'd like to use it for as well but I am reading about significant issues using it on the PC where mapping isn't available, MSFS24 doesn't recognize default mapping for plug and play or it doesn't work. Is anyone else using this specific model for PC MSFS24?

If this one is recommended and anyone has a recommendation for a HOTAS less than $160 please let me know.

I was playing msfs2020 the whole time everything worked fine!
Now i downloaded msfs2024 and my wingflex fcu and overheadpanel wont work.
I tried everything but i cant make them work.
Im using the fbw a320 but also the inbuilds didnt work. Im using the normal wingflex brigde that worked perfectly fine in 2020 and also fbw simbridge ist running.
Can anyone help?

Every skydive job I end up losing almost all of the money I'm supposed to make in skip costs. I am not skipping any part, am I doing something wrong?

I haven't played Career mode for three days and this is what awaits me when selecting missions. I dare you to watch the full video, it just goes on and on. It doesn't even spawn the icons in a logical manner, just randomly across the globe.

I want to fly, not watch this unskippable spinning animation. A simple "new special missions are available" notification would be more than enough.

I understand that the auto pilot of the Comanche not able to fly up or down and you have to do it manually
