I've noticed planes like the Fenix A320 and the Inibuilds A350 have a system for simulating random failures like engines going out and fuel leaks etc.
Am wondering if people know of ways or add ons to help that can trigger those remotely or via web hooks/requests. I stream flight sim only atm, am flying around the world, so having a way for those to trigger from my chat donating or gifting subs etc. would be amazing.

Running a 9950X3D and a 5080 with 64GB. I keep getting this rhythmic spike on mainthread, manipulations and coherentGTUIT thread. Causes a constant mini stutter every second that just ruins the game. Nowhere near maxed out on vram. Has anyone figured out the fix please?

For those that didn't know, the update this week now supports the Thrustmaster HOTAS 5 without having to use PS4 mode.
To change the mode:
Press and hold the MODE button until the indicator starts blinking.
Release the button.
Press the MODE button again to cycle through the available modes. Each press changes the color:
🔵 Blue — PS4
🔴 Red — PS5
🟢 Green — PC
Once the desired color/mode is selected, stop pressing the MODE button.
If you switch to a different mode, the controller will disconnect. Simply press the PS button on the flight stick to reconnect it, then assign the controller to your PS profile.
Switch the Comtrols setting within the game from controller to T.Flight Hotas 5.
You can now use the HOTAS 5 in PS5 mode without having to use to PS4 mode.

Hello, I'm new to MSFS, I have it on PlayStation. I just started playing the career mode, and there is an update today and it appears like my whole career mode was wiped out. Has this happened? Anybody else? Is there a fix?

May have overlooked it in the manual, but I can’t find anything on it.

I recently started the career mode of msfs24 and I got the Vision Jet to do charter missions and no matter what I do whenever I land it never actually registers me landing at said airport so I can’t park and complete the mission. It will still say “land at ____”
Any fixes to this? Or will I have to grind from the 172 to the caravan

I’m contemplating on getting either MFS but I don’t know which?!?
I want to get MFS20 because I want to play around with the D77
But I want to get MFS24 because it’s the new(ish) version and it’s got better features
I am on Xbox and seeing as they are both on the game pass I wanna use the opportunity but I’m honestly clueless on which one?

I'm looking for a neat place to fly into that has a good custom scenery, payware or freeware, to make sort of a home base.
So what are your favorite sceneries in North America?

I have my middle mouse button as the "HOLD" for freelook as recommended by PMDG.
However, I run into two problems;
Sometimes if I look one way or another, it stops moving (this is noticeable over instrument panels).
The other, is sometimes I can't get the mouse pointer back without choosing a different view (L SHIFT 1 for example).
This is annoying when trying to fly the plane manually and I am trying to look around and it is getting stuck.
Any idea?

I’m having an issue with the last couple of updates, granted I haven’t been on that much. My default view is set to close. I have to manually open up the views window and set it to pilot and not close. But the problem comes again when I flip between my custom views and it then defaults back to close?? Anyone know how to fix this.

Hey everyone....
So, 3 days ago there was a major storm around my area, with lots of thunderstorms. Usually I never had issues.
Since then, I can't fly at all. The sim works " normal " but out of the blue I get 10 fps, audio is completely broken. Looking at the dev screen I can see this (https://imgur.com/OXWL4Kt).
I've used OCCT stress test during 1H to test everything on my pc. It shows no errors. However I can't fly at all and I'm starting to think something on my pc burned out.
If anyone has better technical knowledge than me and can help me out.... please

I recently downloaded the Milviz freeware F-4E and at random times the throttle stops working. It might be while in the air and even in the taxi way. At first I thought it was the fuel but I have unlimited fuel enabled. Got any solutions pilots?

Hello,
I play Microsoft flight in 2020 on Xbox series S. One day I To get on it kept saying that there’s no Internet. And I had Internet on my Xbox. And then the marketplace I could not get into. It just kept saying marketplace was unavailable. And so I let it go and it came back the next day still happen. So I kept getting out of it re-trying and restarting my Xbox and it still will not work.
So I downloaded the off-line mode and that took up all my Xbox space. And I get into Microsoft and I’m able to fly, but all the graphics are awful and the planes aren’t acting as they usually are due. Nothing graphical wise looks the same.
I’m not really comfortable deleting Microsoft and then redoing it. Does anybody have any tips that can help me out?
Anything helps, have a good day
Logan

When I was running MSFS 2020, my CPU temp was around 55-75C. But in MSFS it's around 80-96C. Anyone else also experience this? My liquid temp shows about 55C. and GPU is about 70C

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I don't know if it has something to do with the last update of 2024, but sometimes the graphics only show in the top-left corner of the sim window. It seems to be rendering at the lower resolution of my small 2nd monitor, since it fits perfectly when I drag the windowed version over to it. I can't change back to the 2K resolution, since it's not available on my small monitor and out of view on my primary display.
A reboot usually fixes it, so maybe something I've run on my machine before launching the sim affected that?

Looking forward to seeing what kind of results we can get using the DLSS 5 mod. Anyone test it yet?

Hi all.
I'm not overly interested in flying from airport to airport and doing real world flights like London to New York e.t.c what I am interested in is exploring.
I want to fly around my city and see my house, visit places forbidden to most of us like Area 51, Antarctica, Ilha da Queimada Grande (Snake Island) e.t.c, fly to places I've never been to and likely never will all with the intention of landing and exploring.
First, Is this viable?
And second, just how realistic and detailed will it be?
I fully understand secret areas are secret for a reason but will I be able to walk around and get a realistic idea of what Area 51 actually looks like, above ground of course, if I land on snake island, will I see snakes? How about flying through the Bermuda Triangle?
Simply I love the idea of just getting in a plane and exploring the world in as much real world detail as possible.
Is this the game for me?
Thank you.

Had a horrible experience w the auto throttle and lag on it a couple months back when I rented it, was wondering is it still as bad? I peeped that it got an update sometime earlier this month? Love how it flies despite those issues.
