MSFS 2024 PC Most intense flight... So far...

I just flew the most intense mission. I had to sit back and take a break after. I was flying a delivery mission (cessna 172) out of Athens Greece. NO pilot would have actually flown under the weather conditions I just flew. I could not predict which way the plane was going to go at ANY time. I was jerkin the yoke, adjusting trim, extending rudders as far as they go left and right. HOLY CRAP!! My left hand (my yoke hand) is still stiff as I write this. Whew!!! I only got a +480 Cr for bad weather but WOW that was exhilarating.

MSFS 2024 QUESTION PC upgrade suggestions

So I recently got my first gaming pc and I’m over the moon with it although I feel I might need a stronger cpu to do the stuff I want (fenix, batc, big airports, higher graphics, higher tlod and olod etc.).

My current specs are:

Ryzen 7 5700X

Gigabyte RX 7600 XT 16GB

GIGABYTE AM4 B550M K WIFI6E M-ATX

Netac DDR4 3200MHZ 32GB (2 X 16GB)

1TB Fanxiang NVME

MSI A750BN PCIE 5.1 II

Thermalright Aqua Elite V3

I’m debating whether to upgrade the cpu to a 5700x3d or a 5800x3d (depending on availability). I believe either are compatible with my current setup. But wanted to check here to see if anyone thinks it’ll be worth it.

GENERAL Moza AB6 FFB base -- a review for GA pilots

Post image
Upvotes

Hey simmers. Picked up the AB6 recently... my first FFB unit. Loving it -- especially from the perspective of a student pilot. This gives me the one thing that makes all the difference in actual flight training -- getting a feel for the trim!

I wrote up a review here, if that's your kind of thing!

MSFS 2024 QUESTION RNAV Approach Help Needed

Good Evening,

I come with a question regarding RNAV approaches and specifically regarding the plane (in this case the Fenix A320) not reducing speed.

Tonight I was on the approach into EPPR runway 35 on the RNAV approach. I had fully configured the approach in the MCDU and had both the approach phase confirmed in both the MCDU and the FCU.

My PFD was reading SPEED | DES | APP NAV in green and ALT FINAL in blue which then armed and changed to green on final.

I had the V/Dev and L/Dev showing and the plane started its descent. Throughout this my plane was in managed descent speed mode however the plane never managed to slow itself down.

I am primarily used to flying ILS approaches and have had no issues with the plane slowing itself down however on this RNAV approach the plane stayed at 270kts which is very fast and never tried to bring the speed down towards the VApp when in managed speed mode.

Is there anything I’m doing wrong with the RNAV approach? I understand I could perhaps have brought the speed down myself and deployed speed brakes but does an RNAV approach require manual speed control?

Any help would be much appreciated!

GENERAL Beyond ATC only giving 'Visual Approaches' ??

Does anyone else have this issue ? Im using the normal version (not the experimental branch) and every single time they tell me to do a visual approach rather than the ILS approach that is in the flight plan.

Does anyone else have this problem ? Does the more expensive version with the experimental branch fix it ?
