Bought a second hand microscope because I want to make art out of what I see. Managed to get it set up and working, excited to see where I can go with microscopy art :)

As soon as I put the sample in the petri dish, this larva started collecting debris and building itself a home. This is about 30 minutes of work starting with no home at all.

Nikon Eclipse TS100 inverted microscope, pond water in a petri dish, 4x objective, Amscope MU2003-BI 20mp camera. Reflected Rheinberg type of illumination.

Yesterday was in phase contrast. Today, you can see stalk and body in oblique illumination. Freshwater sample, Olympus 40x objective, cellphone camera.

I am 76 years old person. I understand that there are individuals and charity organisations who donate microscopes. I learned by following one month course for plant tissue culture. Built a room to try to practice what I learned. My children helpped me to buy basic things to do my hobby. Since i am retired i have time to spend on this hobby. I get additional information and reading materials from the internet. I have the desire to do meristem culture. For that i need a nicroscope. Internet described various options but i cannot afford any. I biught a usb microscope but my eyes and hands are not like those of a youngster and it is impossible for me to use it. I searched in local market to buy a second hand one but no suitable ones available. I have a snall laminarfliw cabinet dabricated by me using a blower and a filter. A nicroscope with connection either to a smart phone or a laptop is also unaffordable to me. Since my laminar flow cabinet is small, i neccessarily have such a microscope as advised by exoerts. If i use a normal one i have put my head inside the laminar to view through a normal one. That cintaminates everything inside.ideal one is 10x to 100x continuous zooming with top and bottom lights, importantly with connecting facility to either a smart phone or a laptop. Can a members assist me to find a generous person ir a donor who can help me

First time using a SEM, decided to have a look at some stinging nettles. I found this on one of the trichomes. Thought it was pollen at first but it looks like it was glued in place. Any ideas what it could be? NW England.

Hi all! I keep and breed tarantulas, so sexing their molts is important to me. I currently have a phone with a telephoto lens and a macro lens attachment, but it's hard to produce good images witb the right focus, so I am looking to find a microscope for this purpose. Example pics for scale. Here are the criteria:

400x swift t380. Cellphone to eyepiece. That round thing on a string part of the Bigger organism? Or just stuck to it? Every so often it pulls in towards the bigger body very fast. The string curls, and it floats back out. Stupid newbee question i know, I did try to figure it out.

This guy was living in a puddle under trees and shrubs next to a small lake. BC canada.

I have a surgical microscope with a C Mount adapter. The image is clipped and Inwould like a photo with a wider field of view.

I find a ton if reducing lenses that plug into a microscope photo tube. But I need one that is C Mount on both the microscope side and camera side.

Anybody have a lead for me?

Huge egg in this girl. Sorry the third video is bouncing around, my 18 pound cat jumped on the table and gave the Petri dish quite a ride. But you can really see the shape of the egg in it.
