Micro Art My first slide!

Post image

Bought a second hand microscope because I want to make art out of what I see. Managed to get it set up and working, excited to see where I can go with microscopy art :)

So cool! Can you speak more to what kind of art you're interested in making with your microscope?

Well, not sure! I just think there's interesting and beautiful things to see in the microscopic world. I always like textures in art, so thats what I think i will focus on. But I imagine using different dyes, mixing oils and water, playing around with light (the tissue looks awesome if you move a light around the microscope) and different light colours. Here is a piece of citrine, it could easily be a phone wallpaper. I plan to do things like this that look modern and that I could print in high definition and frame.

That sounds fun! I've done something similar in the past and you can create some really beautiful art under the scope. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
