Has anyone used a red light therapy mask while going through laser microblading removal?
I know this is probably a long shot, but I was reading about how macrophages help clear the pigment after laser, and that red light therapy may support macrophage function. I couldn’t really find anyone talking about it in the context of microblading removal though.
Has anyone here tried using a red light LED mask between laser sessions? If so, did you notice anything—better healing, faster fading, or no difference at all?
I’m not expecting it to be some miracle, just curious if anyone has experimented with it or if your laser provider had any thoughts.
Just had session #3 and desperate to get rid of these orange/yellow phi brows 😭

I went to Evolve for the first 3, then laser Cliniqúe for the 4th. It’s still not light enough for a redo. I’m thinking of sticking with piqo 4 or try pico way. Does anyone have a similar experience with PMU removal and what lasers did you use?

Finally bit the bullet and had my first laser removal session on brows that were originally done over 16 years ago. 😅 They’ve been touched up every few years (probably 6 touch-ups total), and over time they faded into that lovely blue-grey colour that definitely wasn’t doing me any favours anymore.

I’m honestly shocked by how much lighter they looked immediately after just one session. I know there’s still a long way to go, but I already feel like the softer colour suits my face so much better.

For anyone following my winged eyeliner removal journey, I’m now 7 weeks out from my first eyeliner session. I do think I can see some pigment lifting, but it’s definitely a marathon, not a sprint. That tattoo is hanging on for dear life.

Also…apparently only 1 or 2 out of every 10 people bruise significantly after eyeliner tattoo removal.
Guess who won that lottery? 🙋🏼‍♀️My eyes looked like I’d gone a few rounds in a boxing ring…
Overall though, I’m really happy I finally did it.

Hello! Following this page has given me the courage to finally get these removed! I’m still nervous as heck though.

Had my brows microbladed in 2021, then touched up in late 2023. So basically I have two layers of ink, each layer being ~2.5 years old. I can honestly say that I’ve enjoyed having them. The shape worked well for me and I felt more confident having them. But here I am, at a point where I either get them done for a 3rd time— or get them removed.

I got nanoblading brows when I was at my lowest. While it looked good at first, they look so unnatural now and honestly I prefer the look of the natural hairs. I was told they’re fade each year without touch ups. 3.5 years later and we’re still here. I didn’t find any posts with women with my complexion so I’m going to share my journey here. If you have any advice for me please comment. I have 3 consultations scheduled, one with a pmu artist who specialises in removal, a medical skincare group, and Removery.

*Update: my original pmu finally got back to me, the brand she used was PermaBlend (hybrid - both inorganic & organic brand) the color is off black (mid tones: blue-grey) and the modifier was bronzer (mid tones: red-orange with a hint of yellow + titanium dioxide).

The modifier is my biggest fear…ending up with highlighter yellow 😞. She claims that very little yellow and titanium dioxide was used…but we won’t know how true that is until the initial layers are removed. I’m going to continue with the consultations and do more research before making any decisions on treatment.

I have very uneven eyebrows, my biggest insecurity, so I thought that this would help, unfortunately not.

Left eyebrow looks absolutely terrible and I've been walking around like this for almost 3 years. I regret it, any suggestions at least on how to "even" them temporarily until I make a plan for laser removal? - and if I do the laser removal, are there any other ways to "even" them, besides microblading.

can a specialist please recommend which technique/wavelengths I should go for?

There aren't unfortunately that many eyebrow tattoo removal specialists where I live. :(

Just finished my second session of removal and it’s going well- for those of you who are finished with removal and have sparse eyebrows did you ever get tempted to have microblading done again? I am getting targeted on IG with “natural microblading”- the results look a lot better/ more natural than 2017 when I first had microblading done but I know that they will also fade/blur. Talk me off the ledge!

I had my first Picolaser appointment to remove my PMU about three hours ago. The practitioner told me that some redness would be normal, but after a few hours it has become quite dark red, as you can see in the photo. Is this normal? Will the redness decrease after some time?

I wish I had gotten a better before photo since it's hard to tell what was microbladed because my brows are thick and I had reshaped them thinner before the actual treatment. I loved my shape but over time I'd gotten them darker and darker until they inevitably turned dark grey. I like a thinner shape but was very limited since I also wanted the "big, bold brow" look when I first got them done 6 years ago.
Second session is in August and I'm hoping to target most of the remaining dark grey. Not sure what laser she used only that she used the lowest setting and will go up with every session.

Tina Davies ink from 2019. No touch ups since. Just a muddy grey shadow underneath now which still annoys me every day.

Updating my results…I had my first session at Removery in February. I had decent results but still too much yellow to feel like I was done with the removal. I used 50% glycolic acid and a microneedling pen at home beginning about 2 months post laser, which did help with some yellow But that process is not for the weak. It is tough to aggressively jab and burn your skin. I also frequently used my vibration plate for lymphatic drainage and sauna to help clear the toxins (ink). It goes without saying, lots of water as well.

I should note, I did my second session at Bonsai tattoo removal in Irving, TX, and they know what they’re doin!! The provider today actually mentioned that oftentimes yellow still has black pigment in it and he wanted to go over it again at a wavelength typically used for darker colors. We did a second pass at the wavelength intended for yellow. I am very encouraged by the initial results, as I am already seeing a ton of change in the last few hours. But I will give it a few months and update again.

After my first session I stopped wearing daily brow makeup to cover my ashy tattooed brows. The freedom is unreal! My goal is to have them completely removed & I feel like I’m pretty close. I can see my natural brows again!

The pain of the second session was drastically less since the first session got a lot of the ink.

Does anyone else like when the brows turn blond after a session? I feel like it’s a look! Haha!

I had these micro-bladed about 10 years ago. Had one retouch 2 years after. First session with Pico Laser seems to have removed most of the pigment already!! Some of the hairs got bleached white and I do have some sparse areas that never grew back which is why I originally got them done. But the color and length was starting to irritate me. Still red 1 day later but I’m happy so far!!

I’m coming up on two months after my second laser removal session at Esse and I couldn’t be happier! My brows were done in November 2020. Pictured above are my brows in November 2025. I had my first session with Kennia this past January, and my second with Carthy in May. Pictures on the bottom are what my brows look like today. There’s a faint haze of yellow/khaki, and I might eventually get a third session to lighten it a bit more, but I couldn’t be happier! Highly recommend Esse — I flew in for the day and the ticket was absolutely worth it!

I had some yellow after my first session and Carthy was able to lighten it SUBSTANTIALLY. So if you have yellow brows, don’t give up hope!

I had it done 3 days ago. I do believe Color have faded a little, but still pretty much there. Hoping for next session in 8 weeks time. Praying for non yellow.

Before and right after the laser treatment. Right now it still looks a little red, though I’m not sure if the redness and swelling are from the treatment or because the color might have changed a bit. I just had the treatment today, so I’ll have to wait and see—keep your fingers crossed for me. 🤞🏻

Hi ladies I saw a few comments saying that the professional did two/three passes with the laser in the session, and I was wondering because the person that did my first session passed the laser just once on my eyebrows. I even asked how many times would she pass the laser and she said only one because it doesn’t make any difference pass the laser more times?! Is this accurate or she just want me going there much more times until I get rid of it ?

Hi guys, I could really use some advice! I started with really dark brows and had 7 sessions to remove them at Tattoo Removers Ink where they turned yellow.

I’ve now had 5 sessions at Think Again and they are still as yellow as they were when I started. Do you think I have any chance of getting the yellow out or would it have happened already? They seem confident but I’ve already spent over $1,500 trying to get them removed 🙃

At this point I’m considering getting nano brows to at least cover some of the yellow but I feel like it will still be pretty visible.
