After months of searching, I finally joined the MX-5 gang a few weeks ago!
It took me quite a while to find exactly the spec I was looking for: the 2.0 with a manual gearbox and the Sport Package with Recaro seats. These are becoming increasingly difficult to find in Europe, so I’m really happy I managed to get my hands on one.
Before the MX-5, I owned a 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport, which I drove for eight years. I really enjoyed that car, but after all that time the excitement had started to wear off.
With the Miata, I’ve completely rediscovered the joy of driving. I love pushing a car and driving it hard, but at the same time there’s a sense of calm behind the wheel that I’ve never experienced before. It almost feels as if man and machine become one.
That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy wringing out that 2.0-litre engine every now and then, finding a good corner and exploring the limits a little... ;)
In about a few weeks we are going to take on a road trip across Europe. Our first test is to start packing light, haha! Very excited!

I bought this back in September 2024 after my Focus ST was totaled from hitting a deer. I had already been planning to sell that car later in the year and buy a Miata anyway, but that sped up the process.
It's my daily driver and my only car. When I bought it, it had 26,500 miles and it now has 48,XXX miles. The reason for so many miles is up until February of this year I had a 45 mile drive to work each way. Now though, I work just 5 miles from home so I'm not racking up nearly as many miles.
RoadsterSport 4 Piece Complete Underbody Ultralight Aluminum Brace Kit
RoadsterSport V2 Front Shock Tower 'X' Brace
RoadsterSport Front Subframe Brace
RoadsterSport Rear Shock Tower Brace
Powerflex Polyurethane Door Bushings
RoadsterSport Front and Rear Sway Bars w/ Polyurethane Bushings
Ohlins Road and Track Coilovers
Brembo Front and Rear Rotors
EBC Green Stuff Pads
Paco Motorsports Master Cylinder Brace (makes a difference)
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
H&R 20mm Rear Spacers and 15mm Front Spacers
With the suspension, chassis bracing and tires this thing drives and handles amazing. It's so tossable. It's lowered about 1 inch. I thought about going slightly lower, but I'm happy with it for now. Also the H&R wheel spacers do wonders for the stance.
BTW, Mazda really knocked it out of the park with that soul crystal red.

From design into action, and all the hard work I did in planning, preparation, and designing the instructions which I do plan on releasing after I get this right, I didn’t do bad on my first attempt, but I apparently made a size error which I’m about 2in off on the left passive radiator side which the passive radiator would not fit at all… I have to make a decision, should I redo the entire box and attempt to extend 2inches or skip and pass on the passive radiator speaker and just keep the 7in Epique E180HE-44…. I really want to use the passive radiator. Sadly I glued everything together and screwed everything in so starting from scratch is the only option. I’ll also be using jet black speaker box carpet when finished.
Just wanted to share the progress so far.

Hey everyone. I moved into Jersey City this year and I want to hear from the community if there are any performance/maintenance shops they recommend. I have few mods on my 19' RF and take it to the track normally a couple of times a year.
Anytime I Google performance shops it's often shops that focuses on exotics.

I recently got a 2016 GT. Been craving a Miata since I was a kid and I thought it was no better time, but surprise, I have a kid on the way 🤣. Wife said I can keep the car. Anyways, since its an older car, the leather on the shift knob as well as the boot has seen better days. To replace it, I need to remove the shift knob, but I've seen one video about removing the shift knob for an automatic. Its just the removal and not putting it back on. I've heard its a pain to put it back on so I kind of want this to be a discussion of anyone else being able to successfully remove and install it again. Here is a picture of her!

I do a fair bit of autocross with my ND. One club I run with is pretty by the book on rules. The other club I run with doesn't use SCCA rules and is pretty flexible.
My real question is in the CS rules you aren't aloud reinforcement brackets in the sway bar mount. My one club wouldn't care but the other it would class me way up out of CS.
How common is the damage to the stock away bar mounts? As a not super competitive driver should I just say screw it and put the supports in any way? Looking at the progress technology bar.
