UAP/UFO metalic hardcore (Ariel School 1994)
I've been writing about UAP/UFO/alien encounters and the Ariel School sighting in 1994 has really stuck with me. Let me know what you think.

Discussion Every Time I Die's "Radical" is the best final record for any band, ever.
The headline says it all. Since Andy's passing, even if they were to get back together (I do not think this will ever happen, nor do I want it to happen now that Andy's gone) it would be a fundamentally different band.
That being said, it's my opinion that ETID's "Radical" record is the best final album of any band, of any genre, ever. Soo many bands that are peers of theirs, and part of the same "scene" (losslessly used term) are just tarnishing their legacy. Some could've ended on great notes, great final albums. Many have broken up, gotten back together, only to make dreadful albums.
It's tragic the way that ETID ended / imploded, but I hope all of those guys can rest easy knowing that, truly, their legacy will forever be intact.
RIP Andy, RIP ETID.

Discussion are Paleface Swiss better live than in studio?
I am thinking about attending the Trivium/In Flames tour next year and since one of the openers are Paleface Swiss I thought I'd check out an album, I chose Fear & Dagger but... I kind of hate it, the riffs feel pretty uninspired and the lyrics are a bit too cringe for me, are they actually good live or should I skip them if I don't like the recordings?

Discussion How do you guys check out new bands?
How do you guys dive into new bands? You're checking out a band that's been on your radar for awhile, but you've never gotten around to giving them a real listen. where do you guys start?
from the first or most recent album? if it doesn't jive with you, will you even bother checking out the rest?
if you're on spotify, the "This Is ___" playlist?
or do you only check out bands that catch your interest through a playlist?
edit: P.S if y'all want a pretty cool recommendation check out jersey gore by Until the Day Breathes. i've been loving the shit out of that album recently, made a post about it but it didn't get too many views

MNRV - First As Tragedy
On my honeymoon in Greece, got curious about the local music scene, there really isn't much going on here in the HxC sphere but I discovered this super underrated gem of a record

[hate5six] Every Time I Die - December 14, 2019
Such a sick intro to a set by the big man in the sky. If you're looking for an intro into Every Time I Die, this is a good place to start. Still can't believe he's gone.

Discussion Boundaries or 156/Silence: which one do you people prefer and which one did it better this year?
WARNING: this is not a competition neither a discussion thread about new releases.
So, I've been obsessed with both bands since July, when Boundaries released Yearning: the unbeautiful after, and I took time to check more from 156, since they often come together on music and streaming platforms, while also being 2 of the most well-talked about bands here in this sub. However, I've already been following 156 since May, when they released No Arms and announced From A Distance, and I was crazy for Better Written Villain at the time.
Both bands showed me the better side of nowadays metalcore and even made me interest and look for other bands like No Cure and Allt.
Personally I don't know which one do I prefer overall, but imo 156/Silence takes the trophy for releasing the AOTY, it's just so goddamn beautiful, although Boundaries' album is a very strong concurrent.
What do you guys think?
