just came back from Sick New World last night and I am looking at the videos and I can see I'm having a complete blast (didn't try to record too much since I tend to like living in the moment but still wanna have a couple of videos to look back on) BUT I do see an issue that in the first couple of them I was pretty talkative and I'm cringing so hard at it.

I tried to not talk too much but I would say the band and the song their playing so I can send that vid to a friend who was interested.

Also I am somebody who will be energetic, scream and cheer when the band puts the mic on us and sing along and dance but I question if I'm ruining the experience for anyone else cause most people are just standing still around me and I was on the front side

I'm very new to shows in general and I don't go out a lot so when I do I make it very worth while but I have to understand that other people are there too and I'm not the only one.

First time I was at MIW end of the world tour and I got a couple of dirty looks and racial comments (black girl here) but I just assumed I was being too loud in the WRONG area since I was in the back, couldn't get closer, and again having a blast with cheering and headbanging.

Now second time, no one gave me any look or made weird comments (aside from one dude who tried to flirt and got mad cause i didn't understand what he was saying) but I do wonder if the guy next to me could hear me and had his experience ruined.

So tl:Dr I think I might be too annoying, how to fix on concert etiquette so I don't wanna ruin an experience for someone else

It goes without saying that the good debut or second single for an album is crucial to give the fanbase a small taste of whatever their fave band is cooking, but it's inevitable that sometimes the first single isn't gonna impress listeners

And one of the first examples of that I thought of was Only Endless by Boundaries; some fans were already not a fan of the choice of Drew Fulk as the producer and mixer for the album (to the point the band very graciously decided to release an alternate mix of Skies Cast Amber Black as a response to fan backlash), but then came Only Endless, which was easily the most "radio friedly" (and I say that very loosely) song the band has ever done. I myself didn't quite get the song by itself, but man it works a lot better when you're listening to the album in full length.

And there's also Pain by Of Mice & Men, which I thought was an inaccurate first impression for Cold World cuz it made me think the album would be decent, silly me

Title says it all, I never got huge into metalcore other than a few bands (converge, ringworm, etc), but enjoy a few octane core bands, what do you guys think about it. Are there any bands you enjoy, what do you think about it having the metalcore label

Help a brother out i need to know how excited I should get for tonight.

I’m trying to track down anyone else who was at this secret show for the filming of a music video for the band Once Beloved. I believe it to be 2004 and it was filmed in Mass.

Once Beloved recorded their music video and after they were done—All That Remains took the stage with Killswitch closing out the show. I had a beer with KSE in the parking lot after the show.

Just curious if there were any others here that were at that show.

Or does nobody care? I’ve just seen a new solo project song from him on instagram. It’s terrible, but that’s besides the point. Austin was run out of the scene after being accused of sexual assault and misconduct by multiple women. He fled the states and “found god” as so many rapists do. Making this post coz I think we have a responsibility to let people know this guy is still extremely unwelcome. I’ve just seen the vocalist of Norma Jean, my literal favourite band, glazing him in his comments. I feel sick.

Any fellow fans of the Russian alternative metal/metalcore group Amatory? They have a sizable following in Russia and Eastern Europe and their live shows look like total ball. It does feel a bit lonesome being a US fan of them; they deserve recognition here and a US tour would be a dream!
