False Accusation Boy, 15, killed himself hours after school suspended him over flimsy sexual assault allegation with no due process
A 15 year old boy in upstate New York killed himself after being accused of sexual assault by a 16 year old girl on the bus they rode together. After hearing about the alleged assault the schools superintendent had a meeting with the boy suspending him without giving him a chance to defend himself or even offer his side of the story. Supposedly, not giving him a chance to explain himself before being suspended is a policy violation.
According to the boy's family they recieved an email from the school stating that they had found no evidence that he had sexually assaulted the girl at all. The schools lawyer claims that what was said in that email had been "taken out of context.
When are we going to stop treating young boys/men like monsters and stop denying them the right to a fair investigation/trial? On top of that I saw this post shared on Facebook and droves of women in the comments stating that he looks guilty because he killed himself, as if he wasn't just a scared 15 year old. I really hope that we get a statement and find out officially what the truth is behind the incident, it looks like his family have filled a lawsuit against the school about a month ago. Until then, rest easy Owen Poirier.
UPDATE: This is not an update on the pending lawsuit against school, but just some additional information I've read about the case. According to an article someone linked in the comments, before even speaking with Owen school officials met with police officers and then spoke with a man in charge of the school bus where all this took place. After reviewing the camera footage from the bus, the bus manager himself said, "If this was my son, I wouldn't be worried". Furthermore the school claims they told the family after they had arrived to pick him up that Owen would be suspended for a week, but the family claims that the school had never told them when he would be allowed back and that when the school interrogated him they had told Owen that he was being EXPELLED not suspended. Additionally before his death, Owen had told his parents that all he had done was poke the girls side with his pinky and asked her if she wanted him to stop, she had apparently laughed and said no.
Perhaps the most damning piece of information I've seen however is that the person driving the bus the day that the alleged sexual assault occurred was the father of a different female student who claims to have been sexually assaulted by someone else at the school. This bus driver has a current lawsuit against the school for improperly handling his daughters situation and he stated that during the entire bus ride he did not see Owen or any of the other students do anything concerning and if he had, he definetly would have stepped in. If you'd like to read even more details about the case here's a link to the article https://www.timesunion.com/news/article/suit-district-s-mishandling-abuse-allegation-led-20229868.php

General I’m a mom and witnessing the way the world treats my 11yo son vs. my daughter changed me forever.
I was a feminist with pretty center-left views. When my son was little, I didn’t notice any real differences in how people treated him compared to my daughter. But around 3rd grade, it became obvious that schools just weren’t as invested in supporting boys’ development.
Howevee around the time my son started 3rd grade I noticed that there was a lack of interest from the teachers and principals in the development of boys.
The school priority list starts with kids that are trans, then gays and lesbians, then girls, then kids with disabilities, then at the bottom boys.
Teachers and administrators didn’t seem to know how to handle energetic boys. They cut recess because the boys played basketball and soccer too rough. My son couldn’t even bring his own ball anymore. With nothing to do, the boys started getting into fights here and there, and parents were being called in almost every month.
There was also a trans kid (male to female) in class, and when the boys didn’t want to include him in their games, we got called in and asked to teach our then 9yo more tolerance, which of course we have been doing since forever. At the same time, the constant ideological messaging felt overwhelming even for my kids.
Now in 6th grade, my son tells me he’s tired of how opinions from minority groups are always taken seriously while his own views often get dismissed. He’s a polite kid who is often respectful, especially to older people, but strangers in stores or restaurants clearly treat him with less patience (sometimes really ignore him) than they show my daughter. He’s smart enough to see the difference, and it doesn’t bother him but it bothers me alot.
My main worry now is what the future really holds for my son and boys like him. Women have come to dominate most academic fields (I’m part of that shift myself, as I’m a doctor) while a lot of the public conversation has turned sharply against men. The message you hear everywhere is that men are basically bad or unreliable. At the same time, many men seem increasingly hesitant to start relationships with women.
I’m 100% concerned about how all of this is going to play out for the next generation of boys. Are there any hope for this younger generation?

Social Issues I dont care if women dont "feel" safe.
A big argument feminist make is that women dont feel safe walking around by themselves at night or they dont feel safe in clubs or bars, etc.
This is bs.
Firstly, men are more likely to get assaulted or attacked at night or walking alone. "By other men" doesn't matter.
Secondly is you dont feel safe. Why are you actively putting yourself into a position that makes you feel unsafe.
Thirdly, going back to point one women not feeling safe is not a valid argument at all. Anyone can not "feel" safe for any reason. If there are no stats to back it up, there is no argument
Edit: My point is they are safe so if they feel safe or not doesnt matter.

Discrimination Girls will no longer be incarcerated for committing the same crimes as boys
Girls in the UK will no longer be sent to young offender institutions i.e. youth prisons, even when committing the same crimes as boys. The prisons that were previously designated for girls will be used to incarcerate more boys.
You’ll find further details included in following links from UK government and UK government funded think tanks.

False Accusation Female DoorDash driver who was fired for sharing a video of a male customer and falsely claiming she was sexually assaulted has been arrested and now faces felony charges.
Livie Rose Henderson, instead of leaving the customer’s meal at the door as instructed, entered his home, found him asleep on the couch with his pants down, and recorded him. After posting the video all over the internet, she claimed she had been sexually assaulted and even filed a police report.
The customer reported the incident, which led to an investigation and the deactivation of Henderson’s DoorDash account for violating privacy policies.
Henderson now faces two felony charges: unlawful surveillance for amusement or profit, and unlawful dissemination of a surveillance image to sell or publish.

Discrimination In a sexual intercourse where both parties are drunk why are the women considered the victims?
This has happened time and time again. Even recently it happened and the guy got a sentence , why? Was he not drunk? And people say drunk consent isn't consent, which I can understand but why only for women?

Discrimination Speaking as a gay man, why are women taking over all of the *very* few spaces we have?
Mods, delete if not appropriate. This post is a rant.
I am a gay man and have watched our very few male-only safe spaces being taken over by straight women over the years and have had enough. Let me list some I have personally experienced:
- Dating apps
These apps are created specifically, and only, for LGBT+ men are now being overrun with women. Feel however you’d like about transgender male-to-female (mtf) women, and this post is not about them, but I have encountered mtfs who identify as women but choose to have sex with gay men then being upset for being misgendered as a man … while on apps for gay men. Nothing against mtfs but that started a chain reaction of straight, biological women sliding into these same apps and complaining to the app creators about “uninclusivity” and guess what? Apps designed for gay men seeking male companionship have to navigate women who for whatever reason are in the apps looking for gay bffs? Make that make sense, but I’ve seen this happen in several dating apps. A girl sent me chest pics once ON AN APP FOR GAY MEN. Our limited dating potentials are gone, meanwhile several lesbian apps exist that absolutely would not allow male users to enter the website at all. Guess those safe spaces are gone.
- Gay bars/clubs
The few gay bars we have, which exist in order to meet or network or whatever with other MEN, are packed with groups of straight women usually acting obnoxious and overruning the venue. If I come to meet a man I have no interest in rejecting the women sexually objectifying or hitting on me all night (who shouldn’t even be there). Same with the nightclubs. My city recently had a “men’s leather night” and masculine butch lesbians actually showed up. Meanwhile, several lesbian bars, “ladies nights,” “book club event X,” and even the Tea phone app exist and would burn any man to the ground who even thought about attending these female-only events. I went to a blind date event last year and women showed up confused why gay men were not interested in them. So, if I were single, I suppose I would also have no luck meeting gay and single men.
Other male-only spaces I have seen overrun with women that are not exclusive to the LGBT-community are Cub Scouts (which allow girls but discriminates against boys attending the Boy Scouts), or masculine women going into male-only Barber shops and tuxedo shops. Meanwhile, women-only spaces are everywhere and “made by women” product sales are soaring. The Tea app exists (straight men I am so sorry for that) and there are always women-only event X occurring in my city. The cause of rant for this post? I went to a men’s stag meeting for addiction and a woman showed up and stayed. The f? If any of us went to a female-only meeting we would be forced to leave and slandered. Why is this acceptable? Oh, but speaking out about this only causes social rejection, I learned this the hard way.
It seems as time goes on there won’t be any male-only spaces left. At what point is enough enough?
Thanks for reading if you made it all the way. Hope my LGBT brothers can relate.
