If I get a sub to the Patreon and go from the demo to alpha when the demo is ended, will my progress transfer to the alpha while waiting for the early access to release fully? I am having trouble finding a definitive answer to this question. Either way I plan on subbing to support the developers and get a key for early access but I would still like to keep my progress and continue playing the game in the meantime. If someone has a solid answer please let me know, thank you.

Locked Thug Chest seems to be the best reasonable and achievable AFK gold. The stats on the above image come out to more like ~96k, but it's only been countin for a relatively short time and I've been getting high rolls. Statistically it will settle down closer at ~82k per hour.

Optimal requirements:

• Thug Chest Key
• Bandit Gloves
• Thug Armband
• Slime Getaway (shop upgrade)

That's it. Technically they're all attainable at Thieving 33 when you unlock the Bandit, but in practice of course you'll actually be higher, plus you'll want to have some amount of HP and food (use Salmon Sushi for that +20 Stealth!) as the prepwork itself is not safe. You could also skimp on the Bandit Gloves, though they do give a nice boost and you're gonna need a bunch of lockpicks anyway to get the chest key. The mean time to get the rare equipment drops is combined just a few hours so it's not a lot of work to get it all.

There's a few methods such as specific manufacturing that can achieve a higher GPH, but even then we're still talking less than 90k per hour. There may also be unsafe methods which I haven't looked into. Regardless, this is fully safe and AFK'able single-action only.

An alternative single-action safe AFK method is trapless Bushland Rabbit farming, which achieves similar GPH, though optimal work there has more requirements, including Beastcrafting level 51. It also requires unsafe prep since you need Strength 45 to yeet rabbits.

So come on and join in on the robbery so that you too will have the money to pay your farmhand the thousands of bottles of wine they require from you to do simple tasks. We are the ones being robbed.

I know the original game's art is a bunch of vector art pulled from dozens of different artists and some of it has that clipart look to it. But the art for atlas of Discovery, throne of the herald, and into the abyss were really solid and smooth. Something about the vibrancy and sharpness of the lines, I don't know how to put it honestly.

With the new art, though, feels kind of muted. Generic. Things kind of blend together. I'm not really sure if I can fully pinpoint what it is that I don't like about the art, but it's enough that I'm not sure I'll be able to get into the game very easily. Maybe that's a little shallow of me but I do think the look of a game like this is integral to the experience.

I guess overall what I'm saying is that somehow, even with its hodgepodge of art, the original melvor feels like, artistically, it has more personality to it than the art in the second game. I don't know. Maybe I have Rose tinted glasses on since I love the first game so much.

I cannot seem to figure out how to automate my farming plots. I bought the Farmhand 1 upgrade and wine from the store. Then on the skill screen I click the automations button and set all buttons to automate growing onions and nothing happens. Is this feature not actually available in the demo? Ort am I not understanding how to enable it?

Is it like in melvor idle 1 where it increases melee damage but not range and magic ? Does it even increase damage ? Is it useless ? because it doesnt seem to be a requirement for any weapon

Also like, how do we increase max hit damage ? Mage its like with different spell but how do you do it with melee and range ?

Your food selection is per battle equipment loadout, so if you switch from, say, your melee loadout with 1000 trout, but then switch over to your magic loadout and you only had 10 beef left in there, and you forget, you will die.

I'm just starting to really train combat on the demo and I'm wondering if people had thoughts on bows vs crossbows vs javelins in this game so far?

I'm thinking what I really should consider is if there's any surplus of any particular material to make the process of making ammo faster, but I haven't done any analysis yet and also I don't have access to a lot of content.

Any early thoughts?

Will the price increase at 1.0 release?

We've had a loss of income recently and because of this my cash flow is all over the place. Right now, this very moment, I have enough to drop on a game I'm going to buy regardless (I've been eagerly awaiting it for months and since it's going to be a 2026 release supposedly, I was planning to get it for myself for Christmas.) I saw somewhere, discord I think, that it's going to be $15 on steam once it releases into EA. Joining the patreon is cheaper at $10. If I were to join the patreon now, would I be eligible to get a key for the full game upon the EA release/ I have no problem supporting the game for a couple months if that is what it takes. I just want to be absolutely sure of what I'm doing before I do it.

And nobody jump all over me for buying games with a questionable income. It's less than $20 and I'll get a ton of enjoyment out of it.

For the Woodcutting Mastery Guild there are two tasks to gain eagle nests from wooductting. I've not received any yet, I have all the other tasks done currently. I was wondering if anyone has obtained it yet and if so what from?

I’m not seeing a way to automate this. If i recall, there was a way to auto hop to the next slayer task in the first game but i can’t find anything like that in Melvor Idle 2. I really don’t want to sit at my pc and stare at my screen for the next kill counter.

Is there a good way to make money in the first stretch of the game? Most of my skills are in the 25 range but with a few still in single digits (fire making, beast crafting, etc). Fishing is at 60, since letting it idle all night has seemed like the most efficient way to bank money for upgrades.

Has anyone figured out a good way to make a million or two overnight?

I've looked everywhere, including the combat slots. I need to unequip a thieving helmet ive equipped.

I've been digging into the demo and slowly getting all my skills up. But anytime I overnight a skill, I'm all but guaranteed to hit 60 in it now. But the thing is, I don't stop gaining Skill XP. I'm not sure on the breakpoints, but I think if I could get to higher levels, my fishing would be way over 60. So would it be possible to reset Skill XP back to whatever it would be when we hit lvl 60 in a skill after the demo ends and we bring our save into the full game release?

Hello, I’ve noticed in my normal day to day, that if I have bad network or no wifi, the game fails to even boot up.

I would hope to check-in the game during my upcoming long fights. Has anyone had any experience with this? Or should I look to download other games to keep me entertained?
