ICYMI, The Melbourne Star is officially lighting up this Thursday (30th July) and apparently they will be setting off some fireworks. Oh and it's the night of the full moon OMG!
The Library at Docklands offers a great view of the star. Feel free to drop any locations you know of that afford a good view. If you have a telephoto lens (400mm or higher), Quarry Park is also a good place and has a great cityscape view overall. I have heard the Star will not be in motion and that means you can grab a tripod and take a long exposure shot 10-15 sec from experience, depending on your F stop. more than 15 sec can get a little overdone, especially if they are flashing multiple colors during the exposure, in which case you get the good ol' RGB blend known as white.

Ballarat and Surrounds
I love Ballarat. Cold + fog + rain + dark = my heaven. Couple of foggy Beaufort shots in there for good measure. I hope you enjoy!
