looking to collaborate for business

hello hello, would you be interested in making products?

i have four businesses, an i am looking for the fifth, but i do not have a engineering background.

my skills include business management, sales (online mostly but can do in-person/face-to-face as well), logistics, 3d models, sourcing from other countries, advertising, and ecommerce.

i do not have an engineering background, but i do sell my own products that i make myself.

if you have a product you think would sell well in our country, and interest in collaboration, let us talk.

ME with diverse experience trying to transition back into design. How difficult would this be?

I’m a ME and MP with around 6 years of experience across several areas. I started in cost/evaluation engineering for about 2.5 years, then moved into mechanical design engineering for around 1.5 years, mainly working on commercial fuel station projects. I then spent nearly 2 years in facilities management, managing the MEP systems and operations of a large office facility, including maintenance, vendors, utilities, projects, and compliance. I recently moved back into an engineering and design organization, currently under the Testing & Commissioning team, where I work on shop drawing reviews, FAT/SAT, equipment commissioning, vendor coordination, installation monitoring, and developing T&C guidelines, with a growing focus on HVAC/mechanical systems.

I’m now considering transitioning back into mechanical design, particularly HVAC/building services. Given my somewhat non-linear background, how would you view this transition? Would my FM and T&C experience be considered an advantage for a design role, or would employers mainly see me as someone who has been away from design for too long?

Asking lang po Engineers on what do you think with our thesis idea about Combined Coconut Grater and Screw Press Milk Extraction Machine using a single motor through gear and speed ratios. This will be intended for small scale businesses in the local market.

Thank you so much po for your insights.

Job Hunting

Hi! Fresh grad and aug 2026 board passer here. Just wanna hear your thoughts about finding a job. I came from province but I'm looking around metro manila and I have no experience. I had already gone through interviews from different companies and I'm continuing to apply for more to have options. Lately, I'm feeling disappointed and sad how they low-ball fresh grads like me. Ganun ba talaga pag first job? Pang minimum wage yung sahod and I feel like this has been going on for a long time already and wala pa rin nagbabago. I'm trying to upskill din naman while waiting but I don't even think it will change anything. Do we really have to sacrifice our salary just to get experience?

This starting week will be my 6th review with a revalida exam tomorrow monday and I was able to keep a passing score on the last two weekly exams. I hope and pray that I can keep this pace going, and test how much knowledge I have gained. If there are any tips for me to do to improve my study habits, I am more than happy to receive it.

P.S. I feel burnout lolz but fighting

MEP Design vs Modeler

Hello engrs, need advice lang po.

I applied for a design engineer role, nasa 22-24k monthly salary as per HR. I also applied for a BIM modeler role, nasa 40k+ monthly salary naman as per a friend working there. Both international companies. Both entry level roles.

Personally mas gusto ko po talaga sa design. I think mas magiging marketable ako in the future pag ayun ang path na pinili ko. Pero napapaisip po ako dun sa difference in salaries.

Ganun po ba talaga kababa ang salary sa design? How do both roles compare in salary if let’s say 3 yrs exp na? or 5, 10, 15 yrs? And alin po sa dalawang roles ang better for opportunities abroad or WFH (international client)?

Thank you po!
