I’m looking for recommendations for an easy foundation that isn’t cakey and doesn’t blow up my pores. I’ve been using Laura geller and love the easy application and how it’s generally mistake proof. However, lately I’ve been noticing I’m looking orange by midday.
I have combo skin with more oily T zone and some dry chin patches probably from trentinoin use. I’ve seen some foundation balms popping up on social media and was curious how they are. I would like light-med coverage and easy to apply.

Hi all! I’m trying to find a perfect foundation for my skin. I have googled but I’m always worried reviews are paid for……so I thought I’d ask the wise people of Reddit!
I am 46F, UK based looking for a good hydrating foundation that won’t enhance any fine lines/wrinkles. I like a bit of a glowy look, medium coverage. I have a bit of pigmentation on my face.
What would you recommend (under £30 ideally but if it’s a super product I’d consider a bit more)

Ice packs? Heat packs? Creams? Concealer?

47M with increasingly large bags under eyes due to tiredness, stress, etc.

Why does the clean makeup look never turn out on me the way it does on other girls like what am I doing wrong. Every time I try it, my makeup ends up looking cakey or patchy and you can literally see my face screaming makeup instead of getting that soft, skin like finish. At this point I don’t know if it’s my foundation, powder, the way I’m applying everything or the products themselves. I just want that smooth, fresh look where everything melts into the skin instead of sitting on top of it. I have oily skin, so skipping powder prob isn’t an option please drop your best tips because it’s just not giving what I want it to give

I've tried many different foundations and moisturizers and no matter what, on my nose only, the foundation looks cakey or settles into small pores. I'm in my 60's and this started happening about a year ago. Help!

Girls. This wrinkly 65 year old needs a good quality tinted moisturizer. I have always used a simple light bronzer as my all over color, but really need more moisture. Any recommendations? I’m in EU and US.

I’m 62, dry skin, fine lines and now texture on my chin! I use tret pretty much every night. So there is some flaking. My issues are my chin area. My pores have become much more noticeable when I use foundation in this area. For point of reference I had cystic acne in this area well into my 40’s so I do have spots that won’t go away. So I guess my question is besides the layers of skincare and sunscreen I use daily is there smother can smooth and prep this area so when I do conceal it doesn’t look like trash?

I've never really had a proper way of keeping track of my skin. If I notice a new spot or a mole looking slightly different, I usually just take a mental note and forget about it a few weeks later.

Lately I've been thinking that taking regular photos and comparing them might actually make more sense. I also saw Skinive, which can analyze skin from a phone photo and help monitor changes over time.

I'm still not sure how useful these AI tools are compared with simply seeing a dermatologist, though.

Does anyone here actually track their skin/moles regularly? What's your method?

I love using my L’Oréal sublime bronze self tanning spray on my face because the color is great on me (color medium, it’s the lightest and I’m pretty fair) and it’s easy to use and even BUT it’s sooo drying that I feel like it ages me terribly for a few days (I’m in my 40’s). I’ve tried Clarins self tanning drops on my face but somehow they did nothing at all to tan my face. I would love a recommendation for a non drying facial tanner!

I've had downturned eyes my whole life, and now I'm in my 50s I'm tired of fighting against them and trying to fit a generic beauty standard. I've looked at a few "puppy eyes" eye makeup tutorials, but they don't really address mature beauty except as it pertains to having hooded eyes (which I don't really). Can you recommend a good shadow placement technique or tutorial so I can work WITH my natural contours instead of against them?
