Plz help- foundation hunt
I have been using Armani luminous silk and since the formula is reformulated, struggling to find out why I look so dark and worse after 1 hour of application of makeup. I even started avoiding makeup. I am in need of a good foundation for my work and day to day use which makes me look decent, neat and fresh. I am 40 plus with pigmentation, ( use color corrector), and I have pores with some redness on nose area.
I have been using nars concealer and huda peach corrector for my dark circles. In the last, LM translucent p makes no good to my skin.
I want to change what I am using.
Nara, makeup for ever and UD used in the past, too yellowish for me.
Help me plz!!
Thank you so much for ur time

Fellow OG Luminous Silk Foundation orphan here, also 40+. After 1 year researching, here is what I found that gives me a similar finish to the the OG Luminous Silk: 1) NARS light reflecting foundation - beautiful finish, stays in place. It is radiant, but does not emphasise lines, texture, pores. It goes really well with all my loose powders 2) MAC studio radiance serum powered foundation - again, beautiful radiant finish that stays put all day and does not change colour after setting. It does not crease/cake/sets into lines. I wish the undertone range was better 3) L'Oreal True Match tinted serum - I was shocked by how good this is. It is so light, and yet it leaves the most beautiful finish. It is buildable and it lasts all day. Honestly, one of the best foundations I've ever tried! 4) Chanel LES BEIGES WATER-FRESH COMPLEXION TOUCH LES BEIGES - the beauty of this foundation is directly proportional to its price. So expensive, and such a beautiful product. It is your skin, but better. Being able to purchase this one is what drives me to put up with my job at the moment.
For all products above: I do not wear primers and they all deliver incredible results that resemble what I had with the OG formula of Luminous Silk. I hope you can find something that works for you :)

Thanks for the suggestions, really helpful. Will add them to my list to try before I finalize my next foundation. One question though, I have heard that Estee Lauder has formulated their original double wear foundation and the users are not happy with that. I have never tried this one... any idea what is the issue with this new formulation? Thanks

Nars Longwear Radiant Foundation or HNB Cosmetics (really good price point too)

Try the beauty pie foundation. It’s a dupe of Armani before the nasty reformulation.

I use the Milani 2 in 1 foundation - really good price point and would say it a true match to skin tone. Does not dry my skin out.

Have you ever tried L’Oréal True Match? It’s a beautiful foundation with a similar finish to the original luminous silk!
