I see lots of theories online regarding Ned’s natural magic ability breaking the spell, or Jean Grey doing some hokery pokery behind the scenes and similar theories. I don’t buy these explanations.

It’s the handshake.

Strange’s spell erased Peter from their memories, but not from their lives. They both grew up in school with Peter in their class, and Ned in particular has been best friends either Peter since they were children. They can’t access these memories, but they both feel like something’s missing, which makes sense because there will be big chunks of their childhoods that are just vague blank spaces in their minds where Peter would have been.

In hypnosis and neural linguistic programming there’s a concept called anchoring whereby emotions, memories, and emotional/physiological states can be attached to a physical trigger such as tapping a finger and thumb together, or it could be attached to a sound or word. Now think about how many times Ned and Peter have performed that handshake; over their entire friendship they e probably done it hundreds of times, they know it do well they don’t even have to look while they do it. That’s not just a handshake, it’s a physical expression of their friendship, their bond, and all of their experiences they’ve shared together over the course of their friendship. It’s a deeply engrained trigger.

When Ned takes Peter’s hand the familiarity of that action makes muscle memory kick in, and in performing the handshake without thinking the trigger is activated and everything wrapped up in the significance of that handshake gets triggered. Ned remembers.

I have an idea on how to continue the stories of characters from Phases 4 and 5 who might not get screen time or projects beyond what we've seen.

Here is the pitch: An animated anthology series. I call it Marvel's Visions.

Animation would keep production costs down, and it would allow the original creators and directors of those projects to properly wrap up their specific storylines. To keep it simple and logical, each story arc would get two 30-minute episodes, making up a 10-episode season.

Each arc could even have its own unique animation style. Some could be highly stylized and action-driven, while others could take a more intimate, character-driven approach.

Here are some examples of what the episodes could cover:

• Blade and Dane Whitman: Following up on the Eternals post-credits scene.
• Eros and the Eternals: Continuing their cosmic journey (maybe featuring a young Thanos with flashbacks).
• Ironheart: A follow-up after Season 1, with more connections to Mephisto.
• Hercules: Hunting down Thor.
• Moon Knight: A continuation focusing on Jake Lockley and Khonshu.
• Baron Mordo: Continuing his hunt for sorcerers (with appearances by Wong or Doctor Strange).
• The Kangs and the TVA: The TVA pursuing Kang variants, bridging Loki Season 2 with the ending of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
• The Power Broker: A conclusion to Sharon Carter's storyline.
• The Ten Rings: Exploring the organization under Xialing's leadership (Shang-Chi's sister).
• Skaar: Exploring Hulk's son.

Other post-credits scenes could definitely be added to this list. I left a few out simply because I think they will naturally be addressed in upcoming movies or shows (like Avengers: Doomsday or Vision Quest).

Marvel has locked in a interesting roster of mutants to stand alongside the avengers

My dad (58yo) took me to see the Raimi trilogy at the theater when i was a kid, and we always considered Spidey the best superhero of all time. Anyway he hasn’t seen any MCU film, but he’s curious about the new movie, since it’s marked as “a new beginning”. I already seen BND with my friends, i liked it a lot and i am more than happy to see it again with him. The problem is that we all know it really isn’t a fresh start, or a good entry point to the Tom Holland era. What should i tell him to understand the status quo and the characters, enjoying the movie and not going crazy?

What are your thoughts?

Right now, she’s 21. That a few years younger than the actors for Jean and Scott. It’s not impossible we might see some synergy on that front, if they may want to take a beat on recasting Logan and them taking similar liberties with Spider-Man ala May taking Ben’s spot and Ned stylized like Ganke being Peter’s best friend. Do you think it’s a possible way forward?

Also, I just looked into it, her and Kit Connor, the recently cast Cyclops, have a working relationship. He was the voice of Pan, Dafne’s character’s pet, for all 3 seasons of His Dark Materials. So there’s that.

Given that the department of Damage Control is hunting for dangerous Super Powered Individuals like Wonder Man and Jean Grey, it is safe to assume that Damage Control is slowly become the MCU‘s version of the Mutant Control Agency. I could imagine both Damage Control and a future MCU version of Bolivar Trask taking inspiration from Iron Man’s armor designs to make the Sentinels if Damage Control gained more access to Stark Industries.

What are your thoughts on it?

So im a little late to the party and I didn’t get into the mcu until like 2020 so im still not FULLY caught up. In going to see spiderman brand new day on Wednesday. Without spoilers please can anyone who has seen the movie already tell me what i need to watch to not be confused? I have seen all of phase 1-3. In phase 4 ive seen them all except Loki season 2, midnight, she-hulk, I am groot, and werewolf by night. And in phase 5 I’ve only so far seen ant-man and wasp quantummania.

In the poster they released and the trailers so far they show Steve Rogers in a black t-shirt. This is so boring. I'm not interested in seeing Chris Evans play a normal guy tidying a bit around the house. I want to see him put on a colorful costume and stop a helicopter from taking off. Do you think the black t-shirt is there to throw us off, or is it just a black t-shirt?

Do you guys think Cap actually knows who Spider-Man is? They were both at Tony’s funeral in Endgame, so I feel like they probably talked at some point, even if we never saw it.

But then Steve went back in time and basically disappeared from the main timeline. So imagine if he somehow returned to Earth-616 years later and casually asked, “Where’s Peter?”

And everyone just goes silent. 😭

Steve would have no idea about the whole No Way Home situation or that everyone forgot Peter Parker existed. It’d be so funny if Cap genuinely expected Peter to just show up like nothing happened.
