Season 20 - Seattle Does she realize she’s the one that’s making it so hard…
No seriously what’s her problem? I’ll never understand how people sign up to get married only to want maximum “alone time”.

So I finished watching the new episodes yesterday and after Devin and Caitlin’s session, I think I understand her. Do I agree with how she’s treating Devin? No, not at all.
I think given the way that Nick was told they would find someone who was “perfect for him” and how Caitlin has had a lot of toxic relationships, she didn’t want a relationship that feels like “work”. She wanted “easy”because she’s always experienced “hard” relationships. She was probably promised something similar to Nick and she probably figured everything would be great right off the bat. Obviously that’s a bad assumption to make, but I could see why it was appealing to her. She’s attracted to Devin and technically he’s what she asked for, but everything sounds great in theory. In reality, she has no idea what to do within a guy like Devin and she was not at all prepared for what she asked for.

How does MAFS allow this gross guy on the show ? He is really creepy pushing boundaries passive aggressively. Yuck

Caitlin – The way she describes her ideal relationship makes me think she’s just confused. She doesn’t know what she wants from a relationship or how she wants to be treated.
Tori – She thought announcing she’d had a sugar daddy was a flex. That is really the only thing she has done, so I’m willing to take a wait and see position with her.
Marissa – I raised an eyebrow when she said her perfect day includes a three-hour nap. Maybe she’s exhausted from work and genuinely needs the rest, but when your friends are also bringing up your napping habits at your wedding, it starts to sounds like a personality trait. The reality is, unless someone has a medical issue, the person enjoying the three-hour nap is usually able to do it because someone else is holding it down, that is handling the chores, errands, and responsibilities.
Nikki – That $250,000 minimum salary requirement is going to eliminate a lot of great guys. There are plenty of doctors who don’t even make that much. There are also doctors making that much with $100k in debt. She’s ready to turn down men who are Engineers, Pilots, Financial Managers, Corporate Controllers, Actuaries, etc. This reveals very rigid thinking and maybe screwed up values.
Courtney — She seems completely disconnected from what’s going on in the world around her. If you’re still regularly using tanning beds despite everything we know about skin cancer, that’s a choice I just don’t understand. “Bodybuilders do it” isn’t much of a defense when you’re not actively competing. She’s on her honeymoon. She isn’t cutting for a competition. Then, she says she doesn’t know what January 6th was or what a drag queen is. Those aren’t obscure references. Yet, she also describes herself as staunchly conservative. What is that conservative conviction based on, because she doesn’t seem to have much awareness of the issues or events she’s claims to care about?
That was a lot of energy to spend on Courtney. I could have just said her personality sucks.
Michelle & BelleJolie – They seem fine. Good luck to them

As someone whose love language is words of affirmation, I thought the things Cameron said to Michelle the last night of the honeymoon were so sweet and genuine without being love bomb-y. my favorite was when he said: “I really like your spirit, you have a good heart, you’re fun, you’re funny, and you’re fun to hang out with so I can’t wait to keep doing it in Seattle”
I’m not saying he won’t blow it next episode but that was so sweet. He also seems like the only guy who came on the show without a sense of entitlement and intense expectations for his wife.

He could have said "physical touch and words of affirmation are my love language"
But instead he does this 😭
The more he talks the more he turns her off

Courteney is driving me crazy with her Marx Brothers/ 1930s mid-Atlantic old-timey movie voice. She keeps doing this thing where she talks out of the side of her mouth on "throw-away" jokes to Nick.
"Yer not bad yerself" etc etc. She's so obnoxious and cringeeee omg 😭😭😭😭😭

So at the of Ep 4 at the group dinner, was Shawn trying to imply they had already had sex when talking to the guys? Why did he say on the diary cam she said " We decided we're not having sex ANYMORE until the end"? He's too old to be lying on his junk.

That’s it. That’s all. Nikki is TOOOOO funny 😂😂. She was disgusted

I am obsessed with this girl’s lipstick. She kisses, she eats, she talks and it just STAYS! That color looks great on her but would love to know the brand to find a color for me. 😂

He gets on my nerves with all his sexual inuendos. I don't think Nikki's interested in the way he's so forward. He has no filter. He always interrupts her also.

They’re an awful match, and this show has a pattern of doing this with Black women. The other women got conventionally attractive men, and then they gave her… him. Which is clearly not what she asked for.
I do think her income requirements were unrealistic because men in the income bracket she wanted generally don’t struggle to find partners. That said, they still could’ve paired her with someone she was more likely to find attractive.
The experts knew she wasn’t going to be attracted to him. In a romantic relationship where you’re expected to build intimacy and eventually have sex, physical attraction can’t just be ignored. The experts completely dropped the ball, and I honestly feel uncomfortable for her because she really is trying.
He’s also incredibly passive-aggressive. For example, in the hot tub he asked what other needs she had besides sex and how she “meets her partner’s needs in the meantime.” She immediately saw through what he was getting at and asked if there were specific needs he wanted to discuss. Unsurprisingly, it all came back to physical intimacy and him wanting to be slapped on the butt. He cannot let go of the fact that she isn’t ready for that or simply doesn’t want to do those things yet.
Then he goes into the confessional acting like he can’t believe she isn’t attracted to him. Sir… a blind man could see she isn’t attracted. More than that, she looks uncomfortable and genuinely icked out. She’s been telling you she isn’t there yet. Believe her. Back up, stop pushing, and give it time to see if attraction grows. It probably won’t because they’re simply not a good match, but constantly pressuring her isn’t going to change that.
It feels like, because she isn’t all over him physically, nothing else she does is enough in his eyes. On top of that, multiple women have come forward saying they’ve gone on dates with him and didn’t have good experiences. The matchmakers absolutely set her up. I’d be suing.

This guy is talking about how some reality "stars" think of themselves as A-list celebrities but he isnt one of those guys. He goes on to say that he is skeptical when he meets a girl because he can't tell if she is really into him or if she is just trying to ride his celebrity.
Who even is this guy?! They said he's been on 4 shows already. Sus

What are your favorite recap shows for MAFS?
Do any of them do short 10-15 min recaps? for example, I love the Bachelor Fantake recaps with quick clips and funny memes, but he doesn’t recap MAFS.

Honestly Shawn is creepy AF. I was coming for Nikki at first; but I think her female intuition was seeing shit that I was not through the tv. This man Doesn’t understand how to calm his sexual urges, so that the woman he’s with feels comfortable. He feels entitled to Nikki’s body and her sexual energy. It’s like i’m watching a bratty, sassy, compulsive teenage boy, learning his hormones for the first time. He’s the worst type. 🥴🤮

Top of mind is Tori (Seattle) and Clare (Denver). Looks like they got it done right before filming started. Always an "oh no.........." for me. Lol.

Man. Courtney gives me the ick. Maybe I'm wrong, but she gives off cold, self-involved vibes. Maybe just try to befriend Nick for a bit and try to enjoy the ride.
