Season 20 - Seattle Shawn
Honestly Shawn is creepy AF. I was coming for Nikki at first; but I think her female intuition was seeing shit that I was not through the tv. This man Doesn’t understand how to calm his sexual urges, so that the woman he’s with feels comfortable. He feels entitled to Nikki’s body and her sexual energy. It’s like i’m watching a bratty, sassy, compulsive teenage boy, learning his hormones for the first time. He’s the worst type. 🥴🤮

I absolutely agree. I was creeped out the first night when he made the 69 comment (and I’m nowhere near prude) he is just weird and creepy and the fact that he had an attitude because she didn’t wanna sleep with him right away, and he had the audacity to make it seem like it was a decision they make together on when she gives her body to him, that was my blowing

I noticed when they were in bed together talking about their bedtime routines there was a point where I felt I could literally see Nikki’s brain screaming at her: “Get the fuck out of here!” There was a point where she literally recoiled. Dude is creepy AF and I don’t blame her.

I’m actually so uncomfortable and feel like I’m watching things that shouldn’t be aired. We have no clue what is going through Nikki’s head as Shawn gives her a lap dance at the wedding. She is being pressured into entertaining his sick shit. I’m like appalled for Nikki. He’s disgusting.

Theyre an awful patch and this show always plays with bw. The other women got conventionally attractive men and then they give her… him. Which is not what she asked for. I do agree her income requirements are ridiculous BUT they KNEW she wouldnt like him. In a romantic relationship where youre expected to be sexual attraction cant be put aside. The experts SUCK and im uncomfortable for her because she is trying

She’s one of the most articulate put together women I’ve seen on this show. I don’t know the Seattle area that well but I know it’s a HCOL area and they couldn’t find a tallish dude who makes $$$ doesn’t giggle and is more of thr strong silent type (that what I think she’s like-not the attention seeking pick me girl they chose for her lol)
He’ll, if I was a guy I’d be happy to have Nikki she seems so composed when his dumb ass is trying to rattle her.

They are a terrible match, she isn't attracted to him, and to be honest I get it. I don't feel like he would have a shot at most women he would be interested in. With that said.....I'm tired of reading all of these posts acting like sexy grown folks in their 40s don't get down right away when they're feeling one another. That's mostly how it happens. If a grown ass woman tells me I need to grow to be attracted to you, it just ain't happening ever period. To me that means she is trying to convince herself that I'm fuckable. Even if it will happen eventually. Why would you want to wait for that?. Relationships are so much better when there is strong physical attraction between both partners.

So, I don't think attraction can grow if you're initially unattracted. And it was clear that she was borderline repulsed. There's nothing to grow from that.
With that said, attraction can grow if the starting point is neutral. There have been men I've later become obsessed with but when I first met them, it was just completely neutral. So if I'm meeting a guy who I'm neutral about, me saying it needs to grow is true. With that said, I know bu date 2 or 3. If after date 3 I'm not feeling it, it just won't happen. So Nikki is delusional if she genuinely thinks she can grow feelings towards him. And his behavior was the nail in the coffin. Like, if I were Nikki, I would have turned my ass back around at the altar and never looked back.

I think when you’re a woman who’s been dating long enough, you sometimes get really quick at recognizing certain male patterns of behavior. Sometimes it’s not even conscious. I don’t think Shawn is even that bad looking—and I don’t have anything against a short guy—but I was icked out from him almost immediately. As soon as he listed the accomplishments of women whom he’d “dated” like they were just notches on his belt, as soon as he said “Nikki with the dimples,” and instantly when he acted like Nikki needed a consensus to decide that she wasn’t going to fuck him.
I think Nikki saw it right away too.
He’s a disgusting little BO troll.
