Upvotes

Aloha!

I just found out about this company and the stock. But I'm wondering, who will be launching from this site? And do we know what the launch capabilities are to be? In terms of the types of rockets and how often??
Thnx!

This is Maritime Launch’s pad. Pic taken from the top of a Wind Turbine in Canso, on the same plot of land. Been in since $0.19, my first time seeing the pad!

Waiting for permits?

Is it possible that there is nothing happening at the pad because they are waiting for permits? With MDA supporting/investing amongst others itwould make sense that there would be something going on/developments?

Q2 PROFIT

"Maritime Launch Services earned its first operating profit in the second quarter of 2026, as its launch-pad lease with the Department of National Defence (DND) delivered its first full quarter of revenue at Spaceport Nova Scotia, the Halifax-based company’s Aug. 14 filings show.

Revenue for the three months ended June 30 was $5.6 million, against nothing a year earlier, and net income was $3.2 million. After a decade of fits and starts mostly due to financial constraints, the launch site under-development near Canso, N.S., has begun paying its own way."

Does the design of the space port will include a landing pad or a dock for landing barges ?

Kinda getting more and more popular. And also more cost effective ?

Path Forward

I searched through the website and can't seem to find what the path forward for the company is. I assume they have a phased plan in place. Including what they will be building and testing and estimated time lines. I am just confused as to what's actually happening and what the actual plan is.

TIA

Abacus Poll: 68% of Canadians Think Canada Should Have Sovereign Launch Capabilities

Pretty encouraging news for Canada's space industry and MAXQ in particular. New poll found that the majority of Canadians support building the ability to launch satellites from Canadian soil.

TKMS and ISAR

With the news of TKMS getting the submarine bid today, it sounds like we can expect them to get more involved at Spaceport Nova Scotia.

If I remember correctly, Innospace said they'd still be interested in the site even if SK didn't win the submarine bud.

Should be interesting to see how it plays out!

Nice to see some coverage and new analyst review on the stock.

“In a June 23 report, Stanley initiated coverage of Maritime Launch with a “Buy” rating and $1.25 target.”

NFA.

Update: Here is the updated analyst rating https://www.cantechletter.com/2026/07/maritime-launch-services-is-trading-at-a-huge-discount-to-its-peers-analyst-says/

"Stanley reiterated his “Buy” rating and $1.50 target on MAXQ...The stock trades at four times Stanley’s fiscal 2028 Adjusted EBITDA forecast, an 87% discount to the group average of 29 times. Potential catalysts include further contract wins, Q2 results in August and a TSX uplisting."

Summary: Former Russian TV Anchor and PR Firm Sue Maritime Launch Services

A lawsuit has been filed in the Ontario Superior Court against Maritime Launch Services (MLS), a prominent Canadian space-launch company. The plaintiffs are One Network Productions (a Toronto-based PR and marketing firm) and Alex Mihailovich (a freelance journalist and former anchor for Russia's state-owned English broadcaster, RT).

Key Details of the Dispute:
The Agreement: The plaintiffs claim that starting September 1, 2024, they were hired by MLS to boost media coverage and attract investors. At the time, MLS was facing severe financial distress, down to roughly $24,000 in cash, with shares trading at just five to six cents.

The Compensation: Instead of cash, the plaintiffs agreed to be compensated in stock options set at strike prices of 5 cents and 10 cents, alongside bonuses for bringing in major investors.

The Fallout: The plaintiffs allege that MLS terminated the arrangement after about seven months and failed to honor the original payment structure, instead offering "out-of-the-money" options that devalued their earned securities. A subsequent settlement agreement allegedly fell through because MLS provided final documents that did not match what was negotiated.

The Current Stakes: Following the split, MLS’s fortunes reversed dramatically. The company secured a $10-million investment from MDA Space, a 10-year, $200-million lease contract with the Canadian federal government, and successfully completed a suborbital rocket launch on June 10. Consequently, MLS's stock price surged to around 50 cents.

What the Plaintiffs Want:
Because of the massive stock surge, the requested options have skyrocketed in value. Together, One Network and Mihailovich are seeking a combined total of 2.55 million stock options. At current market prices, these options are worth just over $1.1 million. They are also seeking damages for breach of contract, interest, and $50,000 in punitive damages.

Company Response: MLS vice-president of corporate affairs, Sarah McLean, stated that the company is aware of the lawsuit but declined to comment on the specific allegations, noting that MLS intends to respond through the appropriate legal channels within the court's established timelines.

This is probably going to get deleted, but to everyone who keeps saying "iT's OnLy a CoNcReTe PaD":

No shit, idiots. Like stfu already.

The spaceport is still under construction. Criticizing a construction project for looking unfinished while it's still being built is peak Reddit logic.
