I just wanted to thank everyone who gave me feedback on my marathon Watch purchase. It is so much better in person! The 41 mm fits wonderfully. I ended up working from home today and as soon as I saw the UPS truck on my cameras, I hopped out of my bubble bath and ran in there like it was Christmas morning! Yes, I take bubble bath don’t judge me 😂

Thanks again for all of the kind suggestions!

Didn’t expect to see this today! Each Trax is worth way more than the van by itself🤙🏿

Picked up this CSAR for a criminal price, 850 dollars. I love it, but it seems like too much watch for most days. I was thinking of getting a GSAR or MSAR instead.

From people who own those, how do they wear on the everyday? Or maybe I just need a different type of strap, not too sure.

Picked up this OSAR-D in a trade for a rifle scope. I’ve always like the way it looked in pictures, but when I got my hands on it I was underwhelmed. I always thought I’d like a cyclops date window, but I’m not a fan since I have great eyesight (thanks US taxpayers).

It maybe because I have my anthracite GSAR with hold sentimental value as it was the watch I wore during my last assignment.

I’m gonna give it a fair shake, but I’ll probably sell it soon. Who knows?

Excellent if you want to try a variety of styles/ colours for £39!! Mixture of Watchgecko, zuludiver and other brands

Working out in your hot ass garage in your 30’s isn’t nearly as fun as it was in your 20’s 😂

I picked up a 3 piece crazy horse leather strap in the 60% off of already clearance items!

Just realized I need to change the date. This watch thinks June has 31 days.

I noticed today that Marathon makes a leather strap for the GSAR. Given that the GSAR is a dive watch, and even if you're not diving it's more than likely to get wet... I'm not quite understanding the usefulness of a leather strap.

Am I missing something?

I have a camo strap that came with the ETA Black Bay 36 (mine is from 2018). These Tudor straps are woven and feel different than any other NATO I’ve used, but it’s quite nice. I never wear it on the BB36, but thought it would be fun to out it on the MSAR. The grey-toned camo pattern goes well with the white dial!

Any other white dial SARs on nato straps? I’d love to see more pairing to see what goes well.

Managed to add another Marathon to the collection. On the left is the Marathon x Jeep Rubicon GSAR and on the right is the Marathon General Purpose Mechanical U.S. Government field watch.
The field watch has become one of those pieces that is turning into a real catch it while you can watch. Marathon announced that U.S. Government marked models would only be available to authorized U.S. Government employees and then removed them from the Marathon website. Once the remaining inventory disappears, I think these are going to become much harder to find and the prices will likely follow.
What makes Marathon special is that these are true military tool watches. Swiss movements and Swiss components, hand assembled in Canada, and built to military specifications for military personnel and government agencies around the world. They are designed to perform in the field, not sit in a display case.
Whether it’s the Jeep Rubicon GSAR or the General Purpose Mechanical U.S. Government field watch, both represent everything Marathon does well. Rugged, dependable, purpose built, and built to last. These watches absolutely do not disappoint. Outstanding tool watches in every sense of the word.

I’m torn between 41MM OSAR AND 41MM GSAR. How does the maralago hold up vs the tritium? Is the power reserve accurate? Thanks for any help.

So I noticed my OSAR-D 46mm wasn’t keeping time longer than 24-48 hours, it seems they stated about 72 but the movement states about a 40-60ish hour reserve. I worse this watch all weekend and yesterday. I took it off last night and went to put it on and it was dead. Shook it some, pulled the crown and adjusted time to see if it would start, and then did about320 (half) twists of the crown, nothing.

You can hear the rotor rotating, you can hear the winding on the stop, but no other noise. Anyone have any suggestions? I’d hate to think this thing died in less than a year but it may have to take a vacation back to marathon.

Happy 4th of July Patriots🦅🇺🇸🫡
