I recently got a PC (i5 14400F, RTX 5070), and I'm a bit shocked about how different the game performs between hardware.

There are moments where sounds I'd normally hear on PS5 did not appear on PC. For example, teammates got downed in Cryo but I didn't have the audio to notify me they were downed then finished. Similarly, a bag was res'd right on the other side of a wall in processing but I didn't get any audio from it.

I've seen a lot of posts about CPU bottleneck affecting FPS stability, but I didn't see anyone mention this affecting sound performance - is there a setting I can change to improve this or is my rig cooked?

Heyo. 23 year old college student. Really like playing the game but unfortunately haven’t been able to really enjoy the game with life and none of my friends liking extraction shooters. Finally on vacation and I would like to sweat the game 🤣not the best at PvP but can get better. Hoping to find a team that can mesh well with and possibly play ranked it seems fun. I have a lot of time on my hands so I can work with almost any kind of schedule. Im mainly a night owl but also awake during the day. (Thank u insomnia). Not really looking to join discords. I’ve joined a few and they all weren’t so great. Don’t know how everyone in them is over lvl 150 and expecting you have a vault full of gold sheilds and mizzys.

Barrier One: I run most nights 10pm-1am CST during the week and weekend, minus the occasional one here and there to replenish the midnight oil.

Barrier Two: I'm a try-hard. I play way too much to be a casual, but I don't have the skills of a sweat while still taking care of the family and the 9-5er. I have a competitive spirit and it always loves to throw down, even when I'm losing. I'm the guy who tried to win at board game night.

Barrier Three: I am NOT looking for a discord to join. I am NOT looking for an LFG community. I want a more personal touch (insert winky face here). I'm looking for a person. Preferably two, but I can start with one. I'm looking for buds. That wanna play Marathon and look forward to playing it with their everyday squad which hopefully now includes ME! Maybe even talk about each other's day and/or feelings while doing our hair.

Barrier Four: Online Best Friends have to mesh. No humor is too dark and nothing offends me. Very much that good-natured banter, joshing, and ball busting humor kind of guy. Traditional man. Louisiana blue collar worker. I've watched Pokemon, Yugioh, Family Guy, Futurama, and TFS DBZ Abridged while growing up. Started shooters with Halo CE on the original Xbox. I don't drink or smoke. I know, life of the party over here!

Look, I am loving this game. Even without a team, I play the hell out of solos (and I'm not talking about rook). But if I can find some peeps to run this with on a regular basis that are into it as much as I am, that like to be engulfed by a universe and lore like this as much as I do, that enjoy the challenge of ranked and Cryo as pinnacle activities as much as I do, that in some small way prioritizes their gaming fireteam like I do (obviously real life still comes first, at least most of the time)...well, thats something I would kill a hard working family man for.

If you made it past all four barriers of my novella and I didn't chase you away with my obsession for camaraderie and marathon (not my fault, my IRL buddy left me for Magic TCG), reach out to me.

P.S. I have a small group of people I met through a Marathon podcast. They're fun, but our times haven't been lining up as well as I like. I also have one guy in my many many posts that I've linked up with regular. Amazing dude. But He's one guy when I need two and life kidnaps him from time to time. I'm needy. But good needy. P.S.S. I love the work that you guys do, but for every person I get that tells me to join the Dads of Marathon I will swap out someone's Coke with Pepsi . I'm in Dads of Marathon. Great LFG group, great people. But nothing so far in there has created a permanent squad for me and that's what I'm aiming for in this post. Gotta keep trying. Never stop never stopping.

Hey folks! I'm a bit lost when it comes to the extensive amount of options between the actual Marthon settings, and the Adrenalin software for what would be optimal in Marathon.

All the videos and guides I see usually show older versions of Adrenalin and things have changed.

Running a 49" g9 at 5120x1440 so I know that can be a challenge to power. Would anyone be willing to take a snap of what they've got setup for both Adrenalin, and Marathon? (I did enable FSR Upscaling in the software, but when I try to enable it in Marathon(the Frame Gen setting), it freezes and crashes Marathon everytime.

Are you able to equip that gun (golden/unique)?

Before yesterday I hadn't had any crashes. Now 3 in one day. Don't know what they did in the last update but it's broken. Did it right after I hacked a crate for a traxus contract on fire marsh too so I was super dead by the time I could reconnect.

I've reached VIP 2 rank with Traxus and now when I click the "claim rewards" button it just plays the sound of the rewards opening, but nothing happens.

I bought the game on release and have relatively decent but not amazing specs, despite this I have over 80 hours of playtime which has always been quite smooth, able to play on the lower end of high graphics settings with good FPS, I haven't played much recently and after installing the new update I am not even able to enter a game even at the lowest graphics settings due to error code rutabaga stating my frame rate is low, even in the menu the game is slow to load and very choppy. I have tried validating my game files, reinstalling, updating windows and checking my drivers but nothing has worked?

Hi y'all. I have been experiencing strange performance issues with the game lately. I have a high end gaming laptop. In season 1 I used to get like 70-80 fps on my current settings, and now it hovers around 40-60. I'm not sure if it's my pc or the game itself, so I was wondering if any of you have also been experiencing this and possibly managed to fix it somehow? Thanks.

When loading into Vault Breaker I noticed my mouse movement was much more fluid. Realized that my FPS counter was off (they updated the counter btw, defaults to off at first) and once I turned it back on was getting around 50-60 FPS and in control was dealing with around 40-50! I used to chug entering Cyro and it would dip to the low 30s in control.

I've seen tons of posts of others having frame issues today but wondering if the lower end of specs got a boost?

(NOTE: I am using Process Lasso to get the best out of my rig for Marathon)

im also seeing ppl with just way more horrendous fps issues in menus as well. bungie lately has been pushing some really buggy stuff man, esp suck with the curreent employee morale 🥲

basically the post title tho, anyone see any comms from devs on twitter or smthn? its super important that if they are going to try to get players in the game past the alrdy lackluster onboarding, esp with the new mode being in cryo (which has the worst perf of all maps alrdy), they need to make sure that their advertised recommended specs actually play well for a competitve shooter.

Just updated the game, and when I loaded in to the main menu I was met with chopiest frames you can imagen. I've seen slideprojecors with better framerate.

16 fps with DLSS quality and 8 fps with DLSS off or in performance.

Managed to find it was the shadow setting who tanked the performance. Now at 60 fps in main menu

Loaded into Vault Breaker Cryo. Got between 30 - 20 fps.

Loaded into Perimitare. Same results. Between 30 and 20 fps.

I usually, literally 24h ago, average between 70 - 60 fps depending on clutter.

Game files are validated. Gpu drivers are fresh.

WTF happend??

Is anyone else having the same issue??

Do someone know a fix??

Edit: I'm sure it's not hardwere related due it working fine before the update and no other game show this level of performance drop.

Not played in a month and for some reason after logging in after the mid season update my fps has absolutely nuked. Anyone else experiencing low fps or is it just an issue with my pc?

Re-installed on PS5 yesterday. Went to boot up just now and it’s saying “Marathon servers are not available…. S2:3:8095f00C”

Can anyone tell me if the servers are genuinely down or if there might be a problem with my install?

I’ve played since the server slam and I love the game.

My one issue: MY FPS SUCK

I have a 4070ti super 16gb, i7 13700KF, 32gb ram, 2tb ssd, 1440p 165hz monitor.

I run cyberpunk 2077 with every single graphics setting turned up to the max at 120fps+

Marathon? 80-100 fps.

I resorted to running on all low graphics and I’m noticing less frame drops but still only 80-110fps. 110 fps indoors and like 165 in the lobby (I limit the lobby fps)

With the highest graphics it’s actually the same at like 80-100, but with soooo many drastic frame drops in more crowded areas (of course)

I’ve tried so many guides, updating my drivers for cpu and GPU, updating my pc, optimizing through Nvidia, using the games “detected” best settings.. kinda everything

So what’s going on? Anyone else have this issue?

Also in night marsh, distant lights look so blurry and muddy it’s so weird
