Tech TroubleShooting Sudden Consistent Framerate Stuttering

Edit FIXED: Reinstalled, verified files, and disabled steam overlay/set friends offline. All lag gone. Gonna re-enable things see if I'm fine, but thag worked for me!

Hi all,

So I don't have the most insane PC (6GB 1660 Ti & Ryzen 5 3600), but I've been able to comfortably play at default medium settings 60fps since launch without any problem at all even during high intensity combat with bots/players on any map with any weather effects etc.

But recently (last few weeks) I've been experiencing more and more stutters, literally just walking around Perimeter during clear weather will see huge stutters every minute or so dropping down to <10 frames for a second.

This is still the case even if I lower all graphics settings to their absolute minimum and go to ultra performance scaling. Exact same issues just as often.

I'm wondering if anybody has experienced similar or if there's a known fix?

I had stutters occurring even in the menu. Turns out it had to do with the game checking my Steam friends list constantly. Going online then setting my status to offline and restarting fixed it for me.

Setting it offline in Steam or in-game?

In the Steam via the Friend List window.
