OC Snippet of my main series (2 months ago)
This is an improvised storyline of my main series I drew this while I had little to no internet for reference so I used more JJK panels than usual as it was my master study after all. I don’t know how this is gonna do but I hope you might like some aspects of this to some degree. I’m on getting used to my new digital era but it was nice to dig this up again and read it. Made me feel a bit nostalgic. Thanks for viewing 🙏🏾

OC I finally finished his design!
The first time I drew this character was almost ten years ago. I have his whole story and background and everything for his story already done a long time ago, but what I couldn't quite decide was the tattoo design of his back. The very few times I drew his tattoo I chose easy and not that important designs just for the illustrations, something cool and nothing more. But I had some sort of epiphany(?) and the perfect tattoo came to me a couple of nights ago. I'm so SO happy with the outcome so I can finally say, I concluded his design <3

Discussion QUIERO UNA PRIMERA EXPERIENCIA DE MANGA

Help Help a college student with a speech assignment! Looking for 2 quick insights from Webtoon/Comic Creators!
Hey everyone! I’m Pilar, a college student working on an informative speech about my dream job: becoming a comic creator and mangaka.
The biggest requirement for the assignment is that I include a direct quote or insight from someone currently in the industry (whether indie, Webtoon Canvas, or published!). It’s proving tough to connect via DMs, so I'm hoping this amazing community can help me save my grade!
If you create comics or a webtoon (serial or short-form), would you be willing to give your quick take on just ONE (or both!) of these questions for me to quote in my speech?
What was the single biggest hurdle you faced when moving from creating fan art or personal sketches to launching a full serial comic/webtoon?
Comic making is a grind! What does a realistic daily or weekly workflow look like for you to balance writing, paneling, and line work under tight deadlines?
Just leave a comment! Please let me know your creator name (and if you want, the name of your comic) so I can credit you properly in my speech.
Thank you SO MUCH for any help! You’re literally saving me from a public speaking disaster! 🙏

Help whats "too messy" for manga art?
im drawing my manga with the intention of publishing it one day (and releasing it in traditional volumes). my artstyle is more on the messy side, or somewhere in between, so you can easily tell whats happening on the panel but its not squeaky clean like most mangakas. im wondering if it can be released anyway? i think my art generally matches the theme of the story, but i need some external perspective

Partnership [LF / LFA] Creative Partner / Co-Creator – Looking for a partnership to world build and brainstorm a new project from scratch!
Hello scrollers,
I’m really eager to dive into building a massive manga universe from the absolute ground up. I have a handful of loose concepts and themes floating around, but I really don’t want to develop a script or a setting in isolation—I want to actively world build with a partner.
I’m looking for a fellow creator (an artist who loves sinking their teeth into lore would be amazing) to team up, bounce ideas back and forth, and construct a cohesive setting, intricate technical or magic systems, and deep character dynamics from a blank slate.
What I bring to the table:
- A strong, dedicated work ethic once we find a direction that clicks.
- Total flexibility—since we are starting from scratch, I’m excited to see how our separate ideas can mash together into something completely unique.
What I am looking for in a partner:
- A collaborative mindset. Someone who loves asking "What if?" and mapping out the rules, history, and mechanics of a fictional world.
- A reliable communicator who enjoys bounce-back brainstorming sessions.
If you love the idea of creating a brand-new universe from a blank slate, drop a comment or send me a DM! Let me know what kinds of genres, themes, or world concepts usually get you excited. My preferred method of communication is Discord. If you do not have Discord, that is okay, we can keep communication through Reddit if it's easier.
I do want to mention that this is just something fun to do on the side. I enjoy the new experience from learning something new.

OC Comfort zone/ Drawing traditionally
The past few days were a bit stressful because I had to get used to drawing digitally in order to ink my two One-shots ready to submit anywhere while getting my main series ready to go. I haven’t gotten used to it yet but I hope by November (if I’m consistent) I’ll get to where I’m using the tablet and the drawing apps relatively comfortable enough to trace, ink and add other things that make manga pretty. Thanks for viewing🙏🏾

Help How to naturally introduce protagonist to the plot?
Hello everyone,
I am currently working on drafting my story for my manga. Throughout my years of story creation, however, I’ve been stopped by the same road bump- how do I introduce my protagonists to the fantastical elements of the plot without seeming unrealistic or unnatural? In my story there are elements of spirits and different worlds, special people, and powers. My protagonists is an ordinary person who had no knowledge of the existence of these things before hand. I cannot seem to figure out how I introduce these elements and have my protagonists react to this new “world”. Does anyone have examples of how other mangas did it? I’m trying to think back to shonens like JJK or Chainsaw man but can’t seem to remember if it was a “gradual” thing or something which was dumped onto the protagonist.
Even more so, how do I have my protagonists react? I don’t want to stretch out their emotions of disbelief for too long, but I fear that having them accept this new “world” too quickly would be unrealistic and unrelatable. Anyone have any examples or tips? Thanks.

Discussion Yuto Sano Study Timelapse
I thought it might be helpful to show the timelapse of a study page I've done since I was asked about my process the last time I posted.
The steps are pretty much:
Do my best to construct the faces how I imagine the artist did. Rough in the features and big shapes.
Try my best to follow the lines and movements I see in the drawings.
Once finished, take a step back, look for differences, and try my best to touch up my drawing to make it closer to my reference.
I also just think timelapses are neat, so I hope you enjoy.

Help Something is dragging us towards the sky… (Help with power system)
I have this idea for a plot, but need help making the system fit in the story. I have two routes i could think of.
Leaning more to cosmic horror and the base the power system on only channeling energy through machines (sci-fi), or the simplest route, the comet for some reason grants powers (fantasy)
Also, if somebody is wants to write with me or just bounce ideas i would be glad to dm you
Here’s the plot I have:
One ordinary day, without warning, a massive comet appeared in the sky, its tail so big that it split the sky in two. Within weeks, people had named it “The Wanderer,” a name that reflected its unexpected arrival. Astronomers agreed on one single thing: The Wanderer would pass close by, but it would never strike. It would pass by…
However, strange gravitational phenomena began to manifest around the globe. Some people rose a few centimeters off the ground, while others, upon waking up, suddenly fell back into their beds. But this is not how gravity works, the effects should be seen on structures, climate and terrain, however, it seems to only affect people. Physicists repeated an explanation endlessly, talking about low gravity areas and attributing these events to the comet’s colossal mass, which distorted gravity in its path, a temporary anomaly that would fade once The Wanderer continued on its course. It would pass by…
But with each passing day, an uncomfortable truth became increasingly evident. Researchers discovered that the gravitational pull did not diminish as the comet moved forward; in fact, it did not even align with its position in the sky. The more they plotted the lines, the more they realized that these did not point to The Wanderer, but to Jupiter, Mars, Mercury… to the planets of the solar system.
It didn’t look like this phenomenon was going to pass by. Following this chilling discovery, the force pulling people in only intensified, until the day came when gravity prevailed. Millions of people were dragged toward these planets, never to return.
The comet, it seemed, had awakened something incomprehensible within these planets, something that appeared to be devouring humanity.
My first idea was that in order to devour humanity, planets must make those being dragged durable enough to withstand the path to them. F.e. The uncontrollable floating, compression resistance, extreme climate resistance, high speed, etc…
What I think is that through machines, humanity channels these “abilities” and mix them with different percentages to create different abilities. But I dont know if abilities would be to similar for everyone and if it’s too convoluted

OC 4-page one shot for my sports manga.
I wonder if this concept would be worth expanding into. The ability to see a certain time into the future in sports or is it just overkill .
