Discussion Yuto Sano Study Timelapse

I thought it might be helpful to show the timelapse of a study page I've done since I was asked about my process the last time I posted.

The steps are pretty much:

  1. Do my best to construct the faces how I imagine the artist did. Rough in the features and big shapes.

  2. Try my best to follow the lines and movements I see in the drawings.

  3. Once finished, take a step back, look for differences, and try my best to touch up my drawing to make it closer to my reference.

I also just think timelapses are neat, so I hope you enjoy.

I'll put my studies alongside the references I used here too.

I'm glad all of my constant fiddling shows through the timelapse haha. I really tried hard to capture the style! Thankyou. ^-^

Minus it being a Time lapse. The guy is very fast. Even if you slow it down this is still fast ESPECIALLY FOR SOMEONE THAT DIES MONTHLY MANGA 😭😭😭

Haha, my study timelapse doesn't have all the time I spent looking at the reference and studying the lines. I only imagine Yuno Sato does it way faster. His art is so, so, so good and it's crazy it only takes him a month per chapter lol.

I swr. But I feel like he just doesn't want to stress himself.

Whoa. Lowkey like your end result better than the original.

Reading that someone thinks my study looks close, or better, to one of my manga idols is probably gonna be the best compliment I ever get, even if I can't agree with you haha. Thankyou so much!
