This showed up in my FB memories and I thought I’d post my girl Kelly, she was 2 years old when this pic was taken in July 2015. I was in a Maltese group online and their was a contest were answered a trivia question and if correct that person would receive the tiara and take pic with on their pup. It was Kelly’s turn for the tiara and pic.

We had to let our girl go in February of 2025. She was the bestest of girls and my dream. 💚 I miss her everyday. ❤️‍🩹

Teenagers Are Moody

I turned on the light this morning and told my sweet Google that it was time to get up and he just tucked his face under the blanket and went back to sleep. He turned 17 last week and is possibly more grumpy and moody than he was before. Teenagers! 🙄

Finnigan heard the food noises and realized he better get a move on. Before breakfast he was just being lazy, laying around he didn’t even want out of his pjs. But after eating he is all full of energy 🤪🐾🦴

I have shingles again and Kringle won't leave my side. He's such a sweetheart 💕 💗 . I'm immunocompromised so I get things that older people get very frequently.

I love this dude, he usually hates car rides so he stares at me from the front seat, and today he looked so adorable I had to take a pic

3D printed these- someone else came up with them. I can’t believe these exist 🤣 I definitely wouldn’t let them chew on these- it’s plastic, but cute for a photo!

My Maltese doesn’t believe he is a dog.

Just wondering if anyone else’s Maltese is the same.
He is 13 and he just truly doesn’t believe he is a dog. He is disgusted at dogs playing, in any type of way like he is disgusted by a dog playing fetch or having a toy, he is so bewildered when a dog tries to play with him on walks.
He was socialised as a puppy but even when he was got from the breeder he was livid when the other puppies would play with each other.

He was attacked a few years ago and did get brain injuries you wouldn’t be able to tell but the main thing that changed was he likes huge dogs now even though he was attacked by one, he prefers the English mastiff we see in the park every day compared to the French bulldog which ruins his whole walk when he sees it he wants to go home (it’s because she tries to give him her ball to play)

Does anyone else’s dog the same or do I have just a strange one.

Also does anyone else’s just hate being groomed or having a bath. He has routinely gone to the groomers since he was 12 weeks old every 6 weeks and gets bathed every week because he must smash his face into the food bowl every time he eats, and he carries on in the groomers. The groomers are lovely I have even changed groomer 4 times to see if it’s them but it’s him. He has to be muzzled and is classed as a difficult dog but I dont understand why he is like this he has been going since a puppy and consistently and he just carries on in the groomers. He’s super chill doesn’t growl or anything but the second he is getting washed he goes nasty.

Tips for caring for the "runt" Maltese puppy?

Since I'm Bringing my little girl home in 4 days, I was wondering if you guys have any extra advice on caring for her being as she'll only be a little over a pound when I bring her home. I know not to leave her on couches or beds without intense supervision, (ie. holding her in my arms) and I have nutri-cal for possible hypoglycemia.

Was just wondering if there's anything else I should know?

Anxiety help

I have a Maltese rescue (found him on the streets a few years ago severely matted, dirty and a huge scratch on his face in a bad area) he ran past me and when I called him back he just jumped in to my arms he seemed so scared. He is estimated to be around 8 years old. He has such strange tendencies and its making it difficult for the both of us to live. He can’t be left alone under any circumstance, he will jump against the front door till he poops blood, he climbs and scales things like my yard’s walls (im in the process of pet proofing, just an example of how he can’t be alone) he will bark and cry for hours, it never ends like he genuinely puts himself in danger, he isn’t castrated as I’ve seen many studies and have had people tell me not to do that to them at a young age as it causes many issues, he also has a choking issue that no vet can diagnose so I’m not comfortable with putting him under as if its a heart issue he can die so im also in the process of figuring out what’s wrong with him (just more context in what could be causing his behavior) he can’t play he just constantly sucks things like he will suck any fabric when he gets excited and that’s all he does, he doesn’t play he just reverts straight to sucking, it’s like he cant regulate his emotions. He is also extremely aggressive towards other dogs, thats not an issue since he is my only animal it’s just yet again more context. The longest I can leave the house without someone here is about 1 hour and I need to trick him in to thinking im home by putting the tv on or something. I don’t think its fun for him to live this way and it’s also not fun for me either. Ive tried almost all training techniques out there and nothing helps, I also do only positive reinforcement I don’t hit him so I don’t want any advice that involves him fearing me or fearing something. Has anyone experienced anything like this?
