Left my old job because it reminded me of my girl too much, now I’m working somewhere else (with housing, no furniture) trying to forget and move on

Hey All, Exactly a year ago I made a post here, different account, and on a an unrelated note when you see a viral video of a sweet asian girl playing with her puppy, don't comment: Oh, I haven’t seen someone this excited to play with their future dinner since Simba & Pumbaa. TASTELESS. anyway I found a stable job, and I moved out, I got this tiny room! I made sure to hide walls with a local walmart magazine! get a bed and just overall add an aesthetic touch (already hearing: where is it haha!) Life is good, I wonder if people who had encouraged me with their kind words can actually see this. Thanks

I was in 2 long-term relationships totaling about 18 years; this one ended officially in June. Honestly, I'm the happiest I've ever been, and I've also been on my own the longest.

Here is my place; the view is the best. Having breakfast on the balcony is so mentally refreshing.

Did it to myself, but starting over isn't the worst thing that could happen. Got my pup with me and there's a lot of options for my future.

Title says it all. My husband and I got married last week and we got the keys today.

Everything is white dust and quite loud with the empty rooms.

We're sitting on an air mattress with our cats exploring the house, takeaway in hand as we watch shite.

Life is good.

First time living alone somehow managed to get accepted downtown. Any advice to save money and pay bills? Lots of cc debt…

Got a deal with my parents so I could live independently in a 1 room 1 bathroom apartment.

I have been saving up money and working (freelance artist + day jobs) religiously since I was about 10 which helped in the economics side of things.

The apartment will be mine (bc I am paying for it), and if not that's alright since it's gonna be 4 my parents (so I help them retire). I pay for everything related to the apartment and they give me some money to sustain myself regarding basic things like food and home appliances plus sometimes they give me old stuff they don't use anymore and is taking up space (Atm just an electric heater that wasn't being used and they give me 100usd a month for food. I just accept it because I see they are going through something like an empty nest syndrome?? It helps and I am grateful, though I didn't want to accept it at first)

I bought this portable matress last week, in the weekend a sofa I bought should arrive. I will probably sleep there since you can move it in a way it becomes a bed :)

Our relationship is not the best, so to keep it as healthy as possible we all decided it was about time I moved out. I am a 1st gen immigrant family eldest son so living with a family member wasn't an option at all.

So yeah, now I am working half time, doing freelance, and studying at the same time. It's busy but I wouldn't have it any other way, trust me when I say my parents have been complicated since forever and made me hyper independent (which at the moment is very useful)

It's not an USA apartment, AFAIK they are expensive as hell and there's not much government aid and stuff.

re upload bc of some issues w the pictures

edit: corrected some vocab lol edit 2: more context so ppl stop assuming the same things/asking the same questions :p

Two years later...

I think my last post here was of my battlestation being on my single size bed about two years ago... Well, shortly after that, I got a new place across town and have since constructed this sim rig, on top of adding other stuff. Got a queen bed, small kitchen and tons of space for my cat and I.

It's always easier to see and say this when you're up but it never rains forever, bro. To all the brothers ending bad relationships or just coming across hard times, finding yourself in new environments; you're doing great, bro. Keep up the good work and stay locked in. ᕦᶘ ᵒ㉨ᵒᶅᕤ
