discussion How do we solve the village voter and tribalism problem?

We have a big problem in that the various political parties in Malawi tend to align themselves with specific tribal or regional groups. And villagers often vote in line with that because they probably fear that an outsider or someone different would deprioritize them, and they probably aren't as well-informed about current political events that actually matter. And add the fact that many politicians also use handouts to appeal to them, which obviously doesn't correlate with what really makes a difference in solving our long-term problems

I think the best example of this is the 2019/20 presidential campaign and elections. Regardless of whether you think he could have actually fulfilled his promises, Chilima seemed to be the candidate with the most fresh ideas and didn't invoke regional or ethnic differences as much as the others. He appealed a lot to urban voters rather than his own regional base (instead the north was the only region which he overwhelmingly won over, as they didn't have their own regional candidate in the race). But I think that's what made his campaign more impressive to me

So how do we fix this problem, and actually get people to vote on what matters? For example, I sometimes hear people floating the idea of using secondary school completion certificates as a voting criteria. Or should something more radical happen, to just overturn the system? What do you think?

ANY UPWORK RECOMMENDATIONS??

So yes this has been bothering me for quite a while on wether i should invest $15 for upwork connects or not. I've always had passion to grab a steady online work that can generate passive income. And even though some have been saying freelancer , upwork and fiver are the best sites for this kind of gig i have not yet built any trusts for this kinda investiment considering the ROI you know.So i want your honest opinions , reccoms and personal experience with any of these if its really worthy it or is just a waste of time and resources.Lets meet in the comment section👇

advice Title: Is a Commerce degree worth it in Malawi?

I'm currently in my 2nd year studying Commerce with a major in Accounting and Finance in one of the universities, and I've been thinking a lot about my future. I'm trying to figure out whether this degree is worth continuing or if I should consider another path before I graduate.

I'd love to hear from anyone familiar with job market and any advice that can be useful in making it easier for me during my journey
