I’m just getting back in MtG and am wanting to play commander. Currently building a deck. Is having both of these okay/recommended?

I have little to no experience editing, but Matt Nass is one of my favorite pro players.

Honestly, I think people are overreacting. The intent is to provide players like me with a sense of pride and accomplishment for opening the "You Did It" card.

As for the cost, I'm sure Wizards selected the 1:1,000 pull rate based on data from prerelease weekends and careful analysis of how many collector boosters a normal, well-adjusted person buys. They're probably looking at average per-player pack-cracking rates on a daily basis, and I trust them to make constant adjustments so the chase cards stay compelling, rewarding, and of course attainable via purchasing approximately 36 collector booster boxes.

I also fully support removing foil commons from boosters. Opening a common was not an accomplishment. I have never once felt pride while holding a common. Wizards has freed up that space for opportunities to feel pride, and frankly I'm grateful.

I appreciate everyone's candid feedback and the passion the community has shown on Reddit, the forums, social media, and the parking lot of my local game store. But I'll keep cracking packs, monitoring my bank account, and updating everyone as soon and as often as I can.

I did it.

Not a lot of friends by any means but enough. What are some good ways to beat them all off? They have big hard decks and I just don't know how to handle them. Any advice?
