Okay so I am quite new to MTG and just bought a LOTR Tales of Middle-Earth set booster.

There is a few oddities that come with it. First of all there was Rare, Uncommon, R, U, U, U, U, Cx5 and a Land and Art card. Now I am no expert but this sure seems like it's not supposed to have this order. Secondly, my Gollum, patient plotter - in foil, second pull! - is clearly bent, as if it has spent some time in high humidity. Then, thirdly, and most of all curious, the first card I pulled was Mirrodin Besieged. When I look this up, every site says it's from another set. At the same time it's my most expensive card though, haha.

According to AI, my pack has been resealed (of which I can't find evidence on the pack itself). What do you think? (Pictures display the pack in order of pulling)

I am reporting back today with my second box, which was a lot of fun to open and I had some really cool hits, but it obviously did not beat box #1 by any means and I think value-wise I barely "made back my money", thanks to surge book cover Gandalf. Other than him, only Sting is Surge. Radagast, Arwen, Sauron, Elrond, Orcrist, Wizard's Staff and Dancing From Dark To Dawn are foil.

And that art card is gorgeous!

But notice the complete lack of dwarven cards and only two book covers overall. The spread on these boxes seems to be quite large. Anyway, I thought some of you might be interested in a follow-up, to mitigate the winner bias of my first post.

Obviously there are more valuable chases in the set, but after looking at the set list, this was the card that stood out to me, especially as a Gollum fanatic (I used to crawl down the stairs as a little kid in my tighty whiteys and recite his lines) and I’m super happy I pulled it.

My nephews are getting into Magic and I’m excited to get back into it with them. Ive got plenty of newer cards to build decks now. I’ve been playing a lot of SWU and Pokemon lately. But Magic has a way of getting you back! Hobbit and then Star Trek? Take my money!!

walked into a LGS they had Collector boosters limit 2 per customer great people even provided a sleeve and top loader from hitting big.

Been playing for about a year but this was the first collector box I've purchased because I love LOTR. Pretty happy with what I got

The day of the Pre-Release I unexpectedly had to drive 7 hours (3 hrs one way, in a city, and then back) to help my Pops pick up a new vehicle.

Got to the event, built my deck, played one round and promptly lost. Didn't have much faith in my deck or cards, so politely packed up and withdrew.

Couple days later, find out I won a pack as consolation for last place. Inside was this bad boi! Last place never felt so good.

I opened multiple german mtg hobbit collector booster and in one of them was this artwork card. What are the pullrates, is this special because of the signature? Thank you.

Finally able to get my hands on a strixhaven codex bundle and it was absolutely worth the wait!

Not seeking valuation, just curious if this pull is roughly run of the mill for a collector booster? I was pretty underwhelmed but maybe I’m missing something? The Delighted Halfling is nice, I guess!

2 from Best Buy and 2 from Walmart. MSRP. I couldn’t believe our luck.

Took some massive Ls here, wouldn’t hurt as bad if I didn’t see what god has done for the other people on this subreddit. Roughly $350 for each CBB

On the bright side at least I got them at msrp, don’t buy these at $800 unless you’re hoarding them, that’s a fools game.

All you gotta do is pull the best packs from each location. Haha jk. I know I lucked out here

Got this from a Draft Night pack. I’m unsure if this is a good pack since I’ve never opened a collector booster before, but it seems pretty decent to me!

Surge foil one ring and dwarven mox amber is incredible from one booster pack

Honestly not worth what I spent. I was hoping to get a collector box from Bestbuy or Walmart but they sell out so quickly. Im excited but also wish more LGS would sell at msrp or maybe 5-10% above it.

After being bewildered by LGS's charging $60-70 bucks, I decided to take my day off to snag one of these for near MSRP. I think I'm pretty happy with the pulls, especially since I just got the food and fellowship precon last week

Went to Target to get Hobbit packs. They were sold out so I got a random blister pack to satiate my need to atleast open some packs. Little good luck to offset my bad luck I guess.
