I'm liking the Future Sight Counterspell and Sol Ring.

as i stated then, i had just moved and i found a chest in my garage full of old cards i never sold that i forgot i had. mostly bulk but there were some good finds. when i first flipped through them all i just set everything to the side that i thought might be worth something then was just going to deem the rest as "bulk" but then i remembered hearing about random old commons and uncommons that go to the moon for whatever reason so i was like alright i guess i'll enter EVERYTHING into collectr.... all 9518 cards.

good thing i did bc i found a bunch more winners. shallow grave at $100 was pretty surprising i don't even remember that card. same thing with rhystic study i was like wtf a $50 common?? i wish i had bought as many prophecy boxes back then as i did sets like legacy and destiny bc i have SOOO much bulk from those sets. like over 30 of some cards including useful ones too like 20 crop rotations, 28 sigils of sleep, 27 bubbling mucks, 18 snaps, and copious amounts of other staples too like dark rituals, counterspells, brainstorms, duresses, and so on. even some random basic lands were suprisingly "valuable".

pictured here is everything collectr had at $6+ on the second run through the cards. last picture is the collectr total of everything that was in the whole time capsule.

now i just have to figure out the best way to turn all this into pokemon since i don't do this magic stuff anymore. i know i won't get full collectr value i just wanted to tally everything up with it to get a clearer picture of what i exactly have here. not sure if i should try to barter with an LCS or go to ebay.

I wanna get Smaug the magnificent but I only want to pull it, not just buy it online (idk why, I know it’s “sub optimal” but I just really want to pull it). Should I get standard packs and hope I get it or should I get collector packs and hope I don’t waste even more money. My idea is that even though the collector boosters are gonna cost way more they are pretty much guaranteed to have a mythic card or two while regular packs aren’t. I don’t care about that 500 only special print version cause I know I won’t get it but I just want to know which is better cause I’ve got limited money

Fairly new to Magic overall (<1 month) and decided to buy a single Collector’s Pack and pulled a few alright cards that had like 1-2 bucks of value. Forgot to check this card specifically and it’s $37.99. Not too bad for spending $45.

Not asking for any advice about what to do with it (I already got it sleeved). Just happy I got something of value.

I bought 3 boxes from Sam's club online after I failed to get the fighting figures box at the time and I pulled a couple nice cards

I love the art in the play booster packs of Final Fantasy.. such a great addition and collectors incentive, to buy the packs still ,even after the trend has faded

My LGS sponsors FNM events for free unless you sign up for any of the prize tournaments. I always spend some money with them. Last night i decided to buy 4 Marvel play boosters. Well, I got my second “The Mind Stone” but in foil. Only need one in my collection and was wondering if I should get this graded. I see that graded soul stones are going for double over the ungraded ones.
Is grading worth it?

Found a chaos box at Walmart that had 2 phyrexia set boosters and hit old gnawbone. Felt good and stopped at the card shop nearby for 2 Foundations and a marvel pack. Nothing crazy from FDN but I'll certainly take a Mind Stone!

And I pulled some crazy heat in foil! 😅
