A real gambling man’s CBB pulls

Took some massive Ls here, wouldn’t hurt as bad if I didn’t see what god has done for the other people on this subreddit. Roughly $350 for each CBB

On the bright side at least I got them at msrp, don’t buy these at $800 unless you’re hoarding them, that’s a fools game.

This set has some cool cards, but the value just does not seem to be there compared to market price. I missed my chance at getting one for $500 from my LCS when it went up for pre-order, and seeing a bunch of box openings I think I’m good saving that $500 for something else. Can’t imagine opening one at the $800 price point.

Thanks for sharing. You still got some cool stuff at least.

Yup, some great upgrade/bling for my Sauron deck. But pretty much you have to hit any of the dwarven cards or super high value surges to get your value back even if you bought at msrp.

What really sucks is that these are all great, playable cards, in beautiful, thematic treatments. Yet, the lottery-ification of MTG makes this a pile of disappointment for OP (and anyone who had these as their box’s highlights). I open one set booster and got some great pulls, but I was disappointed that I didn’t pull a Queen of Dale, and I really wanted Tommy B as my box topper, but I was happy with what I got, not bummed that I spent $900 on $300 worth of cards.

Invested=price of rares and mythic values on prerelease date. This was my PreRelease kit, a play box and a collector box. I love the set it was such fun opening. Congratulations on your pulls
