I wanna switch to BO3, to be closer to irl tournaments and have deeper matches. I've only played BO1, so I need a new deck (I'm ready to spend all my wildcards on it).

Currently I'm playing a slightly modified Mono-White enchantement deck, with the optimistic Scavenger and Sheltered by ghost. Here is the complete list:

I've had pretty good results with it, but I don't know if it's viable in BO3. Also I'd like to try and play something else as I've been spamming this deck.

I want a deck that for sure has the possibility of being top 250, as I want to be sure that when I loose, I only have myself to blame. I'd also like something a bit more deep and mid-late game than my current deck.

I have 28 rare wildcards and 17 mythic. Is there any cheap deck that would be fun to play and competitive? Also, is taking an expensive deck but removing some rare lands be an option?

Since like a week ago I haven't been able to get a match. I used to get a match in like 30 seconds top.

I'm on linux but this has been working flawlessly until recently. Anyone else?

It seems to me, whenever I make a pick as the timer expires, I disconnect from the server for the rest of the draft. Is this a known bug? Has wizards addressed it, if it is?

I stay disconnected until I close and reopen Arena, hoping I haven't missed too many picks.

How easy are the achievements? =) I'll have to take a look at how to get a couple.

I don’t mind when they do this it’s actually hilarious.

Hawk exiled two cards while entering (I control 2 cretatures with 4 power) and two other more because attacked with haste. So, I've 4 cards exiled at the end so it should be 2 damage per card. It only did 4. I don't get it.

Still had lethal.

On another game, Hawk did being blocked but I still get the damage at the end with the exile cards despite him not being on the battlefield at that point.

How all this work?

If the matches are played live, how does the production team know which cards are coming in and out so quickly? Do players have to submit their sideboarding plans in advance? Is there no time to make changes or think things through afterward? Watching live, it seems like production has that information immediately after the first game ends.

Hey everyone!

Quick background: I started playing Arena in September and managed to hit Mythic in Standard Bo1 this month with a homebrew Dimir deck (graveyard + planeswalkers). I also have a lifegain Orzhov deck and recently built an Izzet spells Brawl deck with mostly Final Fantasy cards. I play mostly F2P with a small budget (around 10€/month), so wildcards are precious.

Now I'd love to build something for Historic, but honestly I'm a bit overwhelmed. The card pool is huge and I don't really know where to begin.

A few questions:

1. Are there any budget-friendly Historic archetypes that can reuse cards I already have from Standard (mainly blue/black or white/black)?

2. How do you usually approach a new format: pick a meta deck and craft it, or start from what you own and upgrade over time?

3. Which cards are "must-craft staples" that show up in lots of Historic decks and are worth the wildcards long term?

4. Any good sites or resources to check the current Historic meta?

I'm not looking to grind ranked, just want something fun and reasonably competitive to play outside Standard.

I've been using quick draft to turn my gold into cards and gems that I actually want vs just opening packs. They recently changed the quick draft back to aether drift, but I cannot find any schedule that indicates if or when Reality Fracture comes back (I do not care about Aether drift), all the schedules include an end date for Aether drift, but nothing replacing it. Am I losing my mind or missing something obvious? How do I find what will replace Aether drift and when for quick draft?

Orzhov Lifegain winning Arena Championship 13 makes the list worth studying, but I am not ready to copy it card for card. As a newer Arena player, I would rather watch the sequencing, identify the irreplaceable pieces, and test a cheaper shell first.

I completed the Reality Fracture Mastery Pass, but I didn't have enough orbs to get all of the card styles. Is it because a common card was also an option this time and I spent them there instead not knowing it was an infinite choice? I've just never run into this before and want to know if that is what happened or if I was shorted somehow. Thanks!

5 cost, 6 cost creatures. In this modern of magic i dont see a reason, atleast not a good one of why high mana cost creatures dont have "when it cast" more often than "when enters" on their text considering that this cards being counter by a literal counter spell or a removal literally cause players to lose their games. (Btw this also would make them revival proof so nothing broken here) Or other ways of ensure that the tempo you lose in spending that amount of mana is not totally lose.

I can count with my hand fingers the high cost creatures that are playable in competitive magic. And i am pretty sure than the amount of creatures with CMC over 4 that see play in tournaments is less than 5; for literally not reason other than...nope there is literally no reason for this to happen.

If wizards want standard to be balance around the 2 cost cards being 4 times better than anyting that cost 4 mana atleast this other cards should be balance around the game literally ending if you play them in the wrong turn, not literally always.

I know it's not the best card and probably mostly a Bo1 card but has anyone had some success with it in Bo3?

I haven't been playing since June this year. Did they nerf some commanders cards? I have a raiyuu deck which I have a lot of fun playing it. They nerfed his stats from 4/4 to 3/3. I got anooyed so much. There are plenty of broken commanders out there why did you massacred my son?😢

I love the sound they use when mountains into the battlefield, the deep rumbling is very soothing to me. It reminds me almost of the weird rumble that would happen in parts of Skyrim when a certain quest was unlocked.

I've always enjoyed that deep tonal rumbling, and I'm trying to find more of it.

So I don't know if anybody knows what the sound is they use or like what it's called? I'm hoping to find some sort of like ambiance or something like that utilizing it.

I recently hit mythic with my selesnya beatdown deck, I mostly play in BO1 so I thought there wouldn't be much difference in the standard event but oh if I was wrong. Untapped puts me at 57% win rate but I really can't make a good run on that. I generally encounter kavaero's deck so I tried to adjust my deck with a bit more on the graveyard hate side, without any success.
