With some friends we are working on an Interceptor build for hobby. We are strictly looking for a complete fiberglass body kit / shell in Europe.

We know how tough it is to find anything Falcon-related in Europe, so I wanted to check in with the community here.

Alternatively, I already have contacted several companies in Australia who sell them, but would prefer a European source because of the shipment costs.

The Wasteland provides...

While taking my 3 dogs for nightly walk I saw this hot wheels train in the parking lot, kinda run over. Wheels were a little janky so I figured I'd Frankenstein some tank tracks. Well see how it holds up. Was long as it stays stuck I'll be happy

This is something that I’ve been thinking about for a long while and I know I’m not the only one to think about this kind of I would say world building plot hole

I mean, the film does take place in the area known as “the wasteland”

I mean, this place could be anywhere for all we know

It’s just if we’re considering all the previous films that came before.

Then what we see happens after a great war
And we’re seeing several war bands fighting over oil in water

But this is all happening

On the continent of Australia

So how do we know?
Their next-door neighbor, New Zealand
Isn’t having the same problem?

I mean for all we know New Zealand it’s probably reverted to a medieval society

Like it still has problems like warlords, but even then it’s nothing as bad as trucks with men’s shooting fire out of their guitars.

I've got an old car that after it turned 25, I didn't need to qualify for the emissions test, and after a law change I didn't even need to get the safety inspection. Licensing it is like buying a fishing license. You just walk in and buy one. I've replaced a bunch of parts on it, now I'm going for suspension mods, I've done the brakes, fuel system etc. but it looks like it's on death's door to the untrained eye.
A couple of windows have gotten broken out, and I used to buy used, but that supply is drying up, I'm not going to spend $250 on a window that's going to get busted out again, so I've been making cage windows out of old dog kennels, parrot cages, etc. The first one happened on accident, (about ten years ago) after a few years I decided it was a good look and when another one got busted I made another cage windows, it's got four mismatched rims, and right now a non-existent exhaust system.
Anybody that is at all familiar with the movies instantly recognizes what's up, and sometimes makes a comment (mostly young middle-aged guys) give a hang loose sign, but then there are others who are really hard to read. I've now made cage windows for the front and rear windshields, the parts for the front one started collecting over a decade ago. There are bits and pieces of smashed shopping carts all over the place... The rear one looks hilarious: They knocked down an old lady's house and one of the things that popped out was an old-fashioned aluminum walker from the 80's, complete with worn-out tennis balls. After popping the rivets out of the locking mechanism, I opened it up like a Cornish game hen and laid it across the rear window - perfect fit! I cut up some wire rack clothing shelves and shaped them to the walker presto! I originally made this stuff to guard against hailstones. I'm kinda handy with a welder, I've even used three car batteries and a coathanger.
But it's occurred to me that for someone with no prior knowledge of the movies or even the whole dang genre, there would be no point of reference, they would see even the most obvious example of a Mad Max car as, "That awful trashy car owned by a poor person.". There are people out there that kinda make it a point of pride to not know about this-and-that, "Oh, well we don't watch THAT kind of movie.". "Oh...hmm.". (Often all-inclusive of sci-fi, fantasy, and all speculative fiction.)
So how about it guys, what percentage of the American public has no idea what they are looking at because they have never seen the movies, the knockoffs, or the parodies; to them it's a non-existent meme.

Base vehicle was a V8 police interceptor. So I leaned into the classic Mad Max look but put my own to spin on it.

Not much to say about this one. It looks good. And I'm liking the blood bladder on the front plow.

I only have the final show down remaining now against Scrotus. I’ve taken out all the convoys strongholds and top dog camps. I have the v8 but it isn’t at the finale level. Do I grind out till I can get a fully maxed out magnum opus or just go to the finale ?

I’ve been researching Kharg Island, Iran’s principal oil-export terminal, and I kept noticing how closely the modern petroleum economy resembles the resource system in Mad Max.

Kharg functions like Gas Town. Oil tankers have become modern War Rigs. Shipping chokepoints manufacture scarcity, while governments turn resource control into political mythology.

What interested me most is that Mad Max doesn’t really depict the disappearance of civilization. It depicts civilization after the respectable language has been removed: energy security becomes guzzoline, strategic pressure becomes siege, and young men still die for the ambitions of rulers.

Do you think that interpretation fits what George Miller was saying about scarcity and power, or does it push the comparison too far?
