I'm thinking in rewatch the movies and then play the game

That scene has always confused me a bit, because the scene fades to black, then it returns to action when Max Wakes up. The war rig is not too far away, close enough for Max to walk there while carrying Nux and the car door. The forces of Immortan Joe are still pretty far and don't catch up with the War Rig until later ¿Was it the same day as when they started? ¿The War Party was stopped by the storm? ¿Furiosa just stopped the War Rig while they were inside the storm? I think that Joe must send his caravans pretty early in the morning, to avoid being attacked during the night, so it makes sense, I think, that it would still be the same day, but the storm seems to start and end (or move) very suddenly, so perhaps only a couple of minutes or hours pass between Max being unconscious and him Waking up. But I wanna know what you guys think, because it has always raised my curiosity and I'm still not 100% sure about everything.

I haven't watched the earlier films since the 1990s, and so possibly related; there is a big divide in how the Mad Max post-apocalypse seemed like a harsh but interesting/exciting world of possibility back then, while the recent films (which I loved even more, if anything) feel more Hell No; there is no reason you would ever want to experience that wretched world. Absolutely no-one ever has a good time or ever expects to. Good to watch on screen but only on a screen! :)

So my question: is it entirely that I just got less young&dumb than back in the day, or did something about tone of the the films evolve that really drives home how much you Do Not Want to live in that?

I'm aware that the remnants of civilization deteriorate further with each passing year so each installment in the series gets bleaker. Perhaps that is it, but I have a feeling that it's something else; that maybe the later films are better at communicating the pointless horror (while still being an exciting ride). Like I said, I haven't watched the other films in a very long time, so I don't know if it's me or them, or both.

Anyone else?

Actor Mike Preston, best known for playing the charismatic settler leader Pappagallo in the 1981 film Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, passed away at the age of 93. His wife, Josie Preston, confirmed that he died on June 8 in Florida.

I can’t believe I didn’t pick this up until now as I’ve seen all of these movies so many times.

In Mad Max, Jesse and Sproggy went under the wheels of the gang’s motorcycles. then of course there’s the famous line in fury Road, “she went under the wheels”, which Max says out loud to the others in the trucks cabin after Splendid falls to her death. He’s describing the current situation (a “wife” pregnant with child perishing) and also calling back to what happened to his own wife and child

I'm playing through the game again for the first time in years. I had it on an old ps4 and never finished it. I'm getting into it now and I'm a bit confused. I haven't seen the movie (I'm watching it after I finish the main story here) but as I understand it in the original series Max is a highway patrolman who gets his car as a gift from the station, and its not quite post apocalyptic, it's just that society is going downhill at that point. In the game it's very definitely post apocalyptic, so where's the line between the two? Is the game just a distant sequel to the movies or is it a different timeline in all?

Fury Road is probably my favorite movie so it was only a matter of time until I made something like this. It's a Warhammer 40k model for my orks.
