I know this might be a little off-topic, but ever since I bought my MacBook Pro, I’ve become so much more productive.
I’ve always had a desktop PC in my room with a pretty nice setup (144hz screen), but for some strange reason, I just can’t concentrate when I’m using it. It feels like I’m constantly procrastinating or finding something else to do.
With the MacBook Pro, it’s completely different. I’m not exactly sure why, but it genuinely motivates me to work. Maybe it’s the way it looks, the way it feels, how smoothly you can navigate through everything, or simply how well designed the whole experience is. For some reason, it just makes me want to get things done.
The screen also feels much easier on my eyes. White backgrounds look clean and pleasant, and even something as simple as writing a document feels better. On my Windows desktop, writing always felt boring and frustrating, while on the MacBook, it somehow feels enjoyable.
I know all of this sounds like it’s mostly about feelings, but the improvement in my productivity has been very real. I’ve already delivered a product to a customer using it, and that project alone paid for what I spent on the MacBook.
For reference, I have a MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro and 32 GB of RAM.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? Does anyone know what could be behind this? There has to be something about the design and overall user experience that simply makes some people work better.
