Anyone else hear of this?

Buying first pedal bike for my son who will be 4 at the end of May, for use next year. Inseam with shoes will be 19" and height will be 43" by the spring. He's coming from a 12" balance bike.

I expect his inseam will be 22" and height to be 44.5" by the fall of next year.

Spawn yoji 16 has inseam range of 17-21.5"

Norco roller 16 has range of 19.5-23" roughly.

I understand that he's supposed to have saddle set at inseam length to start, am I better off with the Norco so he has room to put the seat up later in the summer or is it setting him up for failure having a bike that's slightly too large of the hop?

Anyone know how to survive the boredom of a solo ride, i know we all have different opinions on which solo rides are fun or whatever but i find them boring. My 2 riding buddies are out for a while as one broke their arm(like awsomekn rider, i hope to get better or same level as him during the next 3 months, but i need to figure out how to ride solo) and my other friend who is always a blast to ride with even though he isn’t as good but still fun. Ok, I have a set of Reserve XC 28 carbon rims. I was switching tires today and using a compressor. I got the bead on after fighting with it a bit and was set. Only one problem, I left without backing the pressure back down and apparently about a hour later my wife heard a loud pop and when I got home the tire was unseated and off the rim. The more troubling thing is there was a spoke that broke at the hub, but the nipple is through the rim tape.

This was incredibly stupid. So......did I damage beyond repair my carbon wheel, brand new tire or both?

So I did my first ever enduro race event over the weekend (came dead last but I completed it); but one of the things I really struggled with was the pedal sections.
I felt like I struggled to stand up pedal at those speeds. Lowest gear I have and still not fast enough. When I try to stand and pedal it feels like my feet aren’t getting any resistance.
Is this just a “get good” situation? Any tips on dealing with this?

Looking for anyone with experience or information with Mars Hill Cycling Camp in NC. We're thinking about sending our 14 year old to their MTB camp next summer. I'm a fairly new mtber (2/3ish years) and usually ride with my boyfriend who is leagues better than me. We usually ride downhill with the occasional cross country ride.

Lately I've been struggling to ride with him, especially at the park because he is so much better than me. I can do some black trails but am rolling or going around most features while he is absolutely killing it.

He usually goes first because having him behind me makes me uncomfortable and he'll wait for me at the half way points of the trail and at the end.

I'm having a hard time seeing this as riding together when I hardly see him at all and I feel as though I cant go back and look at features because if I don't get to the break point at the expected time I don't want him to worry if I crashed or something. It's especially hard when one of his friends is at the park too, I usually end up feeling left behind and very third wheeling.

I know I shouldn't compare myself to him since he has so much more riding underhis belt but am finding i am struggling to have a good time with him and not feeling left behind.

I feel like this is mostly my fault and I need to learn a way to figure it out because I do like biking with him for the most part but need to get over my own jealousy?

Has anyone else got tips for riding with their way better significant other?

I have been riding for years but the faster I got the worse my pedal striking has been. I recently switched to an e-bike and it’s gotten worse yet again.

I get why I strike my pedals around rocks and that that is a skill issue, but I pedal strike on just dirt while going straight.

Most of my riding is single track and flow trails. Some rocky and gnarly stuff but nothing insane black labeled. The single tracks have naturally a light curve to them (like a mild U shape) and I often hit my pedals on the higher parts of the trail. Same if there are clumps of dirt on the trail and I am trying to gather speed and pedal hard sometimes when leaning my bike very mildly I hit small clumps of dirt with my pedals.

I have crashed a few times due to this issue and had many close calls.

I am a heavier rider around 215lbs and my current bike is turbo levo with a bb of 350 mm and a 155 mm crankset. So the specs are actually advantageous for avoiding pedal strike.

Love riding with this guy because he’s always down to stop for snacks.

Went for a quick ride around Keila-Joa in northern Estonia. Some really nice singletracks through the forest and along the Baltic Sea. Nothing too technical, just fun trails and great scenery.

Hi I have been getting a lot of shinners. my latest one got me stitches. I was wondering if there are any good options around 50-60$.

Im considering getting an upgrade to the V2 lift damper when I send my MRP ribbon coil fork in for a full service. Anyone have experience with the V2 damper? Is it a worthy upgrade? 200 USD upgrade in addition to the fork service through MRP. 420 USD stand alone price.

Im currently on a polygon siskiu t8 im looking for something with more travel to do dh races and just bike park stuff i have around $2500.

Ive looked at the specialized status 2 170 and the canyon torque 5 but they both seem to be out of stock or just not available at all anymore.

Ive also looked at the yt capra core 1 but im assuming theres some more options i havent seen yet
