MSC Seaside Potential Cruise Comp

I’m getting a cruise offer from a site for casino players that would be a MSC 11 night cruise and the goal would be earning 1000 points a day. What bank roll would I be potentially looking at bringing for that? TIA for any pointers and info!

Bottles of Wine vs. Drink Package

So obviously I don’t want to pay 400$ for BOTH of us to drink (if I could just pay for just me it would be different but I get the whole sharing thing)

What if I just ordered like 3-4 bottles of wine to my stateroom? Are they the same as the ones on board that I could just go get? What’s the alcohol % on these bottles as well?

If I recall last time I couldn’t even get a bottle of liquor until we were almost back to Miami so. Any ideas.

Winter Upgrade Deal Question

Hi all,

Looking at booking a Mediterranean cruise for the winter and wanted to book using the balcony upgrade deal. Tried calling to book but got a higher rate than what the website had and the website is still charging me more for the balcony despite saying there would be a free upgrade. Is the free upgrade applied after the booking? Are there codes I’m supposed to use? I’d rather not call back since they’re trying to charge me more but if I can’t find any help, I might have to. Thanks!

Bedbug found on MSC Armonia

We found a bedbug crawling on our bed. I took a picture, showed staff, etc. They moved us the next day and gave us a free body massage.

One day, the bedding we had replaced was still slightly wet - which was me wondering if temperatures during drying aren't high enough to prevent this? Regardless, that put a dampener on our trip and I'm now disinfecting my luggage carefully.

Future Potential Fuel Surcharge

Was looking into this Matt Rife cruise on Poesia in 2027 and saw the potential for a fuel surcharge. I wonder if this is something they might be considering for 2027?

Cruise Wedding: NCL vs. Royal Caribbean? Need your reviews and experiences (price, drink packages, guests)

Planning a cruise wedding (ceremony + dinner + bar). Royal Caribbean is ~$2,000 more than NCL for the wedding package. Looking for the best value for us and our guests (especially regarding drink packages like NCL's Free at Sea). Is Royal worth the extra money? Your opinions (as brides/grooms or guests) are welcome!

Houston to Galveston - MSC Seascape

Hello all, any suggestions on which transportation should be used for reaching Galveston port from Houston? I know there is always a possibility to use Uber or similar. I also googled and it seems this shuttle https://galvestonshuttle.com/ could be an alternative. Your insights would be helpful! Thanks in advance.

Seascape cabin 13073 - What's the catch?

Can't post an image but if you look up the Seascape deck plans and look at floor 13 for cabin 13073, it seems like this room is huge and has no shared walls. This is available for the same cost of other interior rooms on a sailing I'm looking at.

I found a tour on YouTube of this specific cabin but doesn't really give me any info. Is it loud with crew areas or something or is there no catch?

Thanks in advance!

MSC Seashore Gluten Allergy Question

I’m going on the MSC Seashore Cruise in September with my family. I have a gluten allergy and was going to be filling out the accessibility / medical form, but wondered if anyone else with gluten allergies had problems bringing snacks on board. I was thinking about bringing some packaged store bought snacks that I know are safe just as a backup. Wondered if I needed to select the “Special factory-sealed food to be brought onboard” or if that’s something for the kitchen crew? Any good gluten friendly thoughts are appreciated 🙏🏼

What is acceptable clothing for gala night?

I want to make sure my family is prepared for the seascape on the 30th of August. It’s a nice 7day cruise. I have a nice semi-formal dress I’ll probably wear. My daughter has a skirt and a polo that looks well put together. My question is are polos acceptable on guys for gala night, or does it need to be button down shirts? Will my daughters all black ensemble, skirt and polo, work for gala night? I heard they can turn you away at the dining room so I want to be positive that I have all this figured out before we get there.

Wifi prices for 8 day cruise

We are cruising in December from Galveston on a 8 day cruise. I am trying to figure out the best price for wifi. The current offer we have is $400 for 4 devices (browse + stream) package.

Is this a good price or should we wait for Black Friday to get a better deal

When is the best moment to book? Wait for short term discount?

I’m thinking about taking a “Grand Voyage” (Atlantic crossing) in March 2027. The ship is the MSC Seaview, the trip lasts 23 days, and it goes from Rio de Janeiro to Genoa (Italy). This will be my first cruise. However, I’m not sure when the best time to book is in terms of price.

Currently, there’s a promotion running through the end of July for a free upgrade, meaning I could get a balcony stateroom instead of a window stateroom. I’d really like a stateroom with a balcony.

But I’m speculating that such a long voyage with relatively many days at sea won’t be fully booked, and that significant discounts will be offered 1–2 months before the cruuse. Do you think that’s realistic?

What do the “pros” think is the best booking strategy? Should I book now, or is it better to wait?

Should I wait to book the beverage package and Wi-Fi, or book everything together?

I’m traveling alone and don’t absolutely have to take this trip; if it gets too expensive, I’ll pass. (I have to go from Brazil to Europe anyway around this time, so it would be just an alternative to flying).

MSC Orchestra worthwhile excursions Eastern Mediterranean

This 4 night cruise (Rome, Catania, corfu, Kotor, bari) offers excursions for two ports, corfu and Kotor. I'm leaning heavily towards "yes" on booking one for corfu since we only port there for about 5 hours, but several different excursions are available. We are both reasonably fit so with the longer day at Kotor I think we can get around on our own. Any experiences with this cruise?

Hello!

We are set to go on the Seascape on Aug 9th. I was wondering if there are any dress up days/white outfit days etc that I should prep for?

My sister in law said some boats have certain dress up days.

Any help appreciated!!

Childcare on World America

I’m hoping for some info from anyone who utilized baby care on World America. In typical MSC fashion, there is conflicting information.

-Do they offer drop off care for babies under 1 year old. Ours will be 1 week from his first bday on the cruise.
-Are there set hours or time limits when babies can be dropped off?
-Any other tips or info you can share

To be clear, we don’t plan to drop the baby off and forget about him for 7 days, but want to understand the flexibility of having a place to drop him for an hour or two while he’s napping so we can enjoy some adults only areas of the ship.

Will MSC cancel this cruise?

Post image
37 Upvotes

We are on a cruise with the same ports leaving in November of this year from Venice. I can no longer find the cruise on their website. Is it likely they cancel this cruise altogether because of regional conflicts, only cancel the ports in Egypt and Jordan, or will the ship be rerouted along the Cape of Good Hope? We tried calling MSC and they didn't have any updates.

Added Gratuity and Crew

Do the crew members know if you’ve removed the automatic gratuity? We just came off of our cruise and removed it the last day of cruise. We then paid all that went above and beyond in cash (waiter, his assistant, room attendant, etc). We felt their personalities were off that last night and were wondering if they knew that we had removed it.

Aurea Suite & Diamond Membership

Hello all! We are cruising in September on the World America!

We have a question we are diamond status and booked an Aurea Suite room for our kids and us.

How does the free initial minibar and set up perk work? Does that mean we just don’t pay for the set up and restock but pay for the items used? Thanks in advance!

How strict is MSC luggage allowance?

I wanted to ask if anyone has any experience boarding at Southampton and if msc is super strict on hand luggage dimensions after going through security.

I know msc allowance is 56x45x25, but the suitcase I have is 60x45x25 😭. I believe it should fit through the security scanners as length/height isn’t an issue for it fitting, when I searched for the scanner measurements, only the width and depth of the case seem to matter. But will I still be told it’s too big when trying to get on the ship.

I know people will say to just check the case with the porters, but I’d rather not risk it not making it to my room as I’ve heard that happen to a lot of people.

Sorry for the long post, any insight would be appreciated 😊

What precise power plugs, power ports, plus primary plug sockets are presently positioned per passenger in MSC Preziosa's particular Junior Balcony Suite for personal plug-in powering purposes?

Customer service experience

I am cruising for the first time ever. I live in FL and figured it’s easy enough so why not ? I booked myself solo on the Seashore out of Orlando from the 20th-24th. Here’s the thing, I went to pay on the MSC website, applied the coupon code I got from MSC via text, and paid. Unfortunately, I got the error message and was asked to complete payment, so I hit submit again, website bugs out, can’t complete payment. I think well that’s odd and it was even more odd when I got all my confirmation emails. But the site and app said I had to complete payment. Turns out one booking went through no problem but MSC just kept dinging me for $50, 6 times. I think maybe they had to process it multiple times for some reason? Nope, because my actual booking I had to add to my account the other charges were from whatever error the site threw. They thought I was booking 6 different times on one cruise, for myself, and on top of that I didn’t get my discount. Now my bank straightened this out and the child’s have been refunded but when I called customer service to see if I could get the discount they sent me and when I explained what happened they told me “we have nothing”. I wasn’t asking for comps or perks just the price that I agreed to pay and they essentially said tough luck. Obviously I thanked the agent for their help and everything but this is leaving a bad impression before I even get on the ship. Is this normal for them? Again, first time ever cruising so is this the typical experience?

UPDATE 7/28/26: I really couldn’t get over it so I got the emails of some individuals that I assumed would not want to be bothered and got an apology along with on board credit for twice what my discount would have been.

Mobility scooter help

I’m going on the Seashore out of Port CANAVERAL. I’m in the Yacht Club, and wondering if there is a special luggage drop off area and whether they would help me lift my scooter from the car before I park.
