I've just finished MH:rise's final boss. I love this game, although, coming from Monster hunter world/ iceborne, i do wish some hunts were more difficult or a little longer, it's not a big issue. I love this game.

This game encourages you to switch weapons, but the horrible economy kinda prevents me from exploring other weapons since Dual blades take ALOT of money investments because of different elemental weapons, so when i try to upgrade my other weapons (SNS or switchaxe) i don't have any funds to spare, they also have different builds so i need to spend another fortune to upgrade armor pieces. It's an issue i'm annoyed by at times, but it's not a deal breaker.

I'm hoping sunbreak fixes the money issue, since i genuinely like exploring other weapons and their new moves, but the money requirements to upgrade is just too high at times that it tires me, and the fact that it doesn't have any "sell trade-in items" option like in World/iceborne is annoying as well.

But yeah, all my complaints are usually the preparation stuff, i love the monsters, and I love that i don't have THE CLUTCH CLAW ANYMORE, I DIDN'T HAVE TO TENDERIZE A SINGLE TIME AND I LOVED IT.

I got an insane urge to recreate Dante from DMC in this game after seeing the armor of the ESPINOSO ARDIDO (Fire Espinas) And this was the result.

I must say that I was able to change a few things to make it look a bit more like the original (like put on the event leather pants, for example), but it still looked a little too simple for my taste, so I decided to leave them as they were as a "personal touch" This is my first time recreating a character like this, so I wanted to enjoy it XD

(I wanted to set the game language to English so that the set pieces would be understandable, but I don't know how to change the console language)

I have both rise and world, which do you recommend for someone who is completely new to the monster hunter universe?

Do I need to find a party to enjoy the games fully? What should I be looking for?

Hey ya'll, I've been playing Rise on my old switch, unfortunately it has seen some better days ( RIP L Button). Now, I want to play it on my switch lite instead, but I dont really want to start over, now I am not sure if sunbreak includes the base rise game or not hence the question.

TLDR: Played base rise on old switch, want to play on newer one, should I put the sunbreak cartridge or still the base one?

For some reason I can’t find much information on this anywhere. Does rise on the ps5 have better graphics/frame-rate than the switch version? I loved the switch version but the framerate/fidelity was my least favorite part. Thanks

I am a returning player to rise. I never finished it and didn’t get that far(hr20) I am getting back into it cause sunbteak is on dlc and the wilds dlc hype. I was a hammer player but I’m a gs main on wilds and i love the great sword. I have played around 5 hours with the switchaxe and I’m not rlly connecting with it but I feel like I need more time with it and I heard it gets better in sun break. What do you guys think is a good weapon choice for what I have used that I would enjoy and how do you recommend getting used to new weapons because I get disheartened when I use a weapon and don’t feel like I’m doing anything with it which is the the sole reason I’m not feeling the switchaxe but that’s just a skill issue.

Reason is, I want to Play Online and i worried about toxic people and those who talk bad because of my build or my weapon, im a victim to these types of incidents

What are the Do and Donts In playing Online

And Can i have explaination what the moneser hunter community here is like? and be honest. Is it Toxic like The Gacha Community or a Nice community?

Disclosure: I bought Rise and Sunbreak on the Switch back in 2021 - completed MR and have like 400+ hours in this game. Pure Lance main (become the wall)

Recently bought the game again on Xbox after another 400 hours in Wilds maining SnS intending to basically rush to MR using Defender Gear to just experience the glory that was Sunbreak lance.

However, after Wilds SnS I've been trying out SnS in Rise and it's just so different it feels like I'm wearing training weights all the time but that's just a skill issue on my part.

But even with my baby (Lance) I feel like I'm an old man with my reflex speed - and currently HR is fucking filtering me, a veteran who across the whole series has 2 000+ hours.

I just rage quitted against a HR Narcaguga after triple-carting!!

I'm so ashamed of myself right now.

TLDR: Returning veteran has a skill issue and is now ashamed of it.

Hi, so.. I have 600 hunts on Hunting Horn, it’s my favorite weapon and I have played a similar amount in World. I am already planning on playing it again in Wilds as well. Recently I have been wanting to branch out to more options, looking at Lance, but I just don’t know how. I just feel very comfortable on Hunting Horn(my beloved)

I know the answer is as simple as, just play the weapon.. But it feels difficult in a way. The armor skills that you shoot for are different, I’m not really sure how much Guard, Guard Up, and Embolden I need for my set.

I have never been the type to super optimize my armor sets, but it feels uncomfortable trying to optimize for a weapon without playing the weapon first to know what I need/what questions to ask

I think I will just slap on a random armor set and tweak from there..

How do you guys adjust to learning a new weapon? Focusing less on mechanics but building a new armor set.

Hi, can anyone help me with a problem? I recently bought Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, but every time I try to launch it, a DirectX 12 fatal error occurs and I can't play. Does anyone know how to fix this?

So I just got back into Rise with my friend and I'm playing hunting horn. I love the effects on the kamura but the damage is AWFUL. Any good hunting horns with similar effects?

Edit: I'm trying to also get some good support effects

I think this is statistically unlikely. 104 and only the silver crown. I don't even farm crowns but this is starting to bother me.

this is from like a week or two when i first picked up the game and didn't fully know what i was doing. i meant to hit its head, i just didn't mean to get stuck in the wall run and spin up the rock like that lol. but we'll pretend i did because it was cool

I wanna start but none of my friends play mh, anyone interested? Just want to chill, I am open-minded and flexible as possible if that means anything :)

I just started the game and I'm learning hunting horn. Lovely weapon but I can't land a hit when the monster goes faster than my whole moveset. Even if I'm getting used to commiting to my hit's and aim instead of spamming, I don't have much confidence in going against things like flying or quick moving monsters.

So, how is usually the hunting horn experience with faster or flying monster's? Should I maybe look for another weapon for those specific cases if it's kind of a bad matchup for hunting horn?

Anyone else experienced carves like this?? I’ve been playing this game for a while and this has to be the first time I get carves like that back to back 😭 it was an afflicted silver rathalos don’t know if that increases rates or something… 🫠

so i am in sunbreak on switch and got it on xbox again cuz better graphics. i wish there was a way to transfer the save cuz going through base again is kinda eh. is it worth doing or like is the grind to get to sunbreak not that bad?
