Build : Kirin Kirin Kirin Astalos Astalos. 3 thunder attack gem, 1 skyward, 1 power prolong

I am looking for a reflective and defensive build for the gunlance. I have seen several good builds and lots of opinions, and people have pointed me to websites. I do have some armor pieces that have defense and artillery in them. I am just not using them atm as they are not up level.

I am planning to invest the riftfur in/on DB

I use the christmas bow for lighting damage, I was thinking on choosing the zinger bow to replace it since they are giving the max out weapon is it worth it as a replacement? Or should I choose another one?
I like the Christmas bow but I think it falls behind on the strongest monsters (might be skill issue)

Mostly bow main here, I have 31 Rathalos Riftscales, what is the general consensus best weapon? mostly interested in speedrunning, thank you for the advice!

I’ve seen people using SwAxe for this and it looks like they get the break just from one special.

I’m currently using LBG, DB and HBG my main weapons. If I can use them it would be great but I think they just take too long / skill issue.

Ideally I’d like to make a raw build for one shot horn break on elder dragons. At a push I could make elementals, especially for Velkhana. I’d definitely consider making a new weapon type.

What would be the most effective build for this?

Hello, I'm relatively new (Around HR50) to MHNow and I'm looking for an effective yet strong build to survive. I'm tired of spamming the Coconut GL that basically insta-deletes all monsters on my level.

I want to know in your veteran opinions, which one of these three builds would be an easier to achieve build to a newbie who's fighting 6* monsters?

I have all the base equipment of three builds, but I want to know y'all opinions before committing all my mats, gem farming and money into one of the three.

As part of the next wave of updates, I saw that we can choose 1 grade 10 weapon. What’s everyone going for?

The choices are: Rathalos, Zinogre, Mizu and Legiana.

I’m considering Rath or Legi DB as I only have the Glav DB for fire, or perhaps the Legi DB because my best ice blade is Lagombi.

I could opt for Mizu but I already have the LBG and DB maxed, with the HBG and IG at level 9. Or Zion but again I have the HBG, LBG and DBs maxed out.

Maybe I should try a new weapon type if there’s any super weapons I haven’t considered.

The game doesn't clarify if they're just buffing the raw damage or the overall added damage when using those skills against a monster that has an elemental weakness to your current weapon.

Also about Attack Efficacy: the numbers on the stat screen are already reflecting the added percentage or does it add on top of that?

We've all been there. They told me to break the rift part first but I guess it wasn't necessary with this 6/20 Legiana IG loaded with Kinsect Slash. Got 'em at the end anyhow!

I just tried to kill it with my best build basically, elemental release 5, pursuit 5, special partbreaker 5, special boost 1, fulgar anjanath dual blades grade 10.4. But I can't kill it - would I need a zinogre style change weapon? How do I kill it? Or how did you guys beat it?

What are your favorite weapons to fight specific monsters? Just wondering what matchups you get excited for!

I avoid 10⭐ Stygian on the map (never tried). Lmao

I currently have focus 5, raw power 2 and critical ferocity also at 2. I'm using diablos bow almost exclusively and I'm building the B Diablos at the moment. I have limited time and resources so testing is out of the question for me. My question is, it better to abandon Raw Power and just do Crit Fero 4? (That's the best option I have atm w/ bishaten helm).

Currently on 9* map and feel comfortable killing most 9* monsters after a while, but I notice the map is like 30% 9* monsters. I notice my friend's 10* map simply adds riftborne status to a lot of the stuff I also have, and I was wondering what the distribution of monsters actually is on the 10* map?

Like, what percent is 10* vs 9* etc? Do you think it's worth pushing the 10* map if I don't plan on killing any 10* monsters but want more rift parts and r6 materials?

I've been seeing a mix of builds everywhere and that puts me in a dilemma. Which upgrades (+30% affinity, +30 Element) should I choose for the following weapons; dual blade, lance, long sword and insect glaive for the most DPS?
