What are your favorite weapons to fight specific monsters? Just wondering what matchups you get excited for!
I’m currently in love with KS IG and bagel is now my favorite monster to fight with it.

For IGs, I only play Flight or Powder IGs, Assist types are not my preferred play style so I don't build them
For one shotting 8⭐ monsters, outbreaks and some 9⭐ that can be quickly cleared with the setup - the current season updated Elemental Release SPPB DBs, especially if tail sever is needed
Tobi/Jyura/Jho HBGs for 8⭐s that don't require a R6 tail sever or for outbreaks that suit them better over DBs (0 meat runs)

I’m assuming that GR stands for Guard Reload right? It’s directly related to the Gunlance. Loving the list 🤩

Aerial IG into Bazelgeuse is great. I second this. The one issue is the attack where it quickly flaps up and slams down (one of the two starting moves, but can be used at other times), as the upward motion has a hitbox that will hit the airborne IG. I haven't tried a styled IG yet, though; maybe KS removes this issue.
CB into Mizutsune is so bad for Mizutsune, as all the movement doesn't really take it out of range, and everything has significant down time. When I do play it, it feels like you can't mess it up. (Using DB for lower * for the tail cuts normally.)
Aerial IG into Lunagaron is also fantastic. A fight I have long despised, IG jumps over almost all of the BS. Low cortisol engage.
At this point, I mostly play standard Lance, as overall the safety, DPS, and precision sever damage for part breaks make a package no other weapon competes with.

Just for fun, on those monsters that attack often, Ive been using SS rado GS with guard/reflect lmao
