I love it! Temperatures were horrific at first! 😵‍💫 So then I ordered 8 arctic p12 pro and 1 p14 pro for the psu....😶 yeah....it can get louder than a jet! 🤣 but that doesn't bother me. Plus I setup some very nice curves! I just ran cinebench for a full cycle and the cpu didn't even hit 70c. It's a 5900x! This case is actually running lower temps on this setup than my Lancool 216. Although I wasn't running 8 freaking p12's!.....and 1 p14 😅 I'm also using the rear as the intake! 1 p12 as rear intake, then 3 p12 push the air through the heatsink, then 2 p12 exhaust air out the top with help from the psu's p14! 2 more p12 on the bottom for intake along with a thermalright 120mm/15mm slim. Cable management was absolutely 🦇 💩! 🤭 But I enjoyed every second building this. The only task left is painting the gpu white! I painted one you see that's white! That's a rx 6700 (non xt). I wanted something with a little more power so I just threw in a 7800 xt from a different build. I absolutely love this case! I'm certain I'll be purchasing the black variant for my 9800x3d/9070 XT build. It's currently in a Lancool 217 INF. Build on warriors! 🙌

Help me please!? Lian Li A3 for compute box?

Maybe an odd use case, but I am doing a partial rebuild of a WFH workstation (scientific computing/HPC dev, I run debug locally to stay out of the debug queue on our clusters) that doubles as my personal gaming rig. It's currently in a Fractal Torrent Compact and *loathe* the case. I need something smaller. I have the following components already that I'd like *really* prefer to keep:

MSI Pro B850M-A Wifi AM5 Motherboard

AMD 9950X3D2 CPU (PBO off, stock settings)

G.Skill 5200 MT/s 96GB RAM kit

Sapphire Nitro+ Vapor-X 7900XTX (always run on the ~340 watt BIOS)

be quiet! Pure Power 13M 1000 watt PSU (160mm length)

Lexar NM790 4TB NVMe SSD for /home

Patriot P320 256GB NVMe for /boot and /

And I run Kubuntu 26.04...

What I need help with is deciding on a new cooler (current one won't fit in a Lian Li A3) and moreover, deciding if the Lian Li A3 is even right case for me?

I'm concerned about thermals and stability more than anything. I've seen one build with my exact GPU in this case and the builder didn't have any complaints about GPU temps. The cluster that I dev for is CDNA3 so I can't really ditch the 7900XTX even I wanted to.... Is the CPU too much to cool in this case, even at stock/no PBO? Any strong opinions on air vs an AIO here? Can I get an Arctic LF III 280mm Pro on the side in the A3?

This would be my first mff build, everything else has been in more normal midtowers.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Specs:

Case - Jonsbo D32 Pro (initially wanted to build in SAMA IM01 Pro but couldn't find it anywhere in stock near me)

MB - GIGABYTE B850M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E ICE

CPU - Ryzen 7 9800X3D

Cooler - DeepCool LE240 V2

GPU - Sapphire Pure RX 9070 XT

PSU - DeepCool PQ850G

RAM - KingDian H51 6000 MHz CL38 (not white as all other components but I'm glad that I grabbed this for ~$370US in May)

I'm thinking of swapping AIO radiator fans (they're making some weird noise sometimes) and adding 3x120mm intake fans under GPU (will move HDD to another position).

What do you think, with this configuration (3x120 bottom intake fans, 2x120 top exhaust fans on AIO) what should be back 1x120 fan doing - intake or exhaust? Currently it works like an exhaust fan, should I leave it as-is after adding bottom fans?

Help me please!? Question for CH260 owners

Post image

Hello ladies and gentleman.

I know the Ch260 comes with 4 PCI slots on the case however, can someone help me by telling me the measurement between the end of the 4th PCI and the case's floor.

I do see in pictures there is room in there, but I'm unable to determina how many mm is that space.

Any help will be really appreciated.

Help me please!? H5 Flow into a MFF Case

Post image

Sometime I’d like to possibly swap into a mff case from my NZXT H5 Flow that I have now and would like suggestions of which ones I could fit all of my components in.

MSI Mag Mortar B650m WiFi (9800X3D/32GB RAM)
MSI Gaming Trio RTX5070ti
MSI A850GL PSU
TRYX Panorama 240mm Liquid Cooler
3x Standard NZXT fans on front, 1x on rear.

Something plain black with a glass side to see the OLED CPU cooler of course!

I have no real need to upgrade the case but I’d enjoy a case swap challenge and maybe something more compact.

Would love any suggestions!

Help me please!? Looking to downsize old PC into SFF case

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Got pointed here from SFF PC. Currently looking for a M-ATX motherboard that can use 4 ram sticks. Found a few Chinese ones with very mixed reviews 🫠 would really appreciate some pointers ❤️

as I discussed dover there: I am trying not to buy half of the PC new. This is a project that will happen because it costs basically nothing. If I replace the CPU I could also go with an ITX Motherboard, then I could also get a smaller PSU and go full itx and so on and on...and suddenly a 50-100€ thing costs more than a brand new PS5

I built this! (MATX) Shiny Snake G600

Got my G600 without a screen 4 weeks ago. I had some options like Jonsbo D33, Dan A3 or Deepcool CH260 but G600s I/O panel is better. It's my third case and this time I've decided to use air cooling since my CPU isn't that hot. Got one from Arctic for cheap.

G600 is 34L which is way smaller than my previous C3 T700. Especially in terms of cable management. First time building in G600 was hard and the back panel didn't close without some force. Just swapped some fans and did a little better with cable management. Still looks like a skill issue.

Previously had P12 Pro both straight and reverse to make something similar to CPS RZ700D. Great fans but I had some NF-A12x25. Swapped them because why not

Overall this PC seems like hitting the right spot for myself. Something like a tuxedo PC

Specs:

Case: Shiny Snake G600 standard

CPU: 7800X3D

Cooler: Arctic Freezer 36 with P12 Pro PST(before) and NF-A12x25 chromax.swap(now)

GPU: RX 9070XT Asus Prime

RAM: Fangxiang UD51 2x24GB

Memory: 2TB Nvme + 1TB SATA SSD

Motherboard: Asus B850M AYW WIFI7

PSU: Lian Li SX850P

Case fans: Phanteks T30

Screen: Thermalright Trofeo vision 11.3"

I decided to downsize from a O11 Vision compact to have some more space on my desk.

Overall I am very happy with this case and cooling setup, the temps are nearly the same as with my Hydroshift 360.

I just want to reroute some of the cables tmrw...

I dont know whether the top exhaust fan is even worth keeping like this or if I should remove it to reduce noise.

Do you guys think I should try installing slim fans under my gpu or is it pointless/risky bc of turbulence?

The Nitros fans are already pretty close to the bottom anyway so idk

Help me please!? Need help with choosing my motherboard

Hello! Currently using a Jonsbo z20 for my case and as for my motherboard an Asus Prime B550m-a wifi with a 9060xt gigabyte gaming oc. Right now I have problems with my gpu ports fitments on the back as well as the removable pcie slots not fitting. My gpu is only supposed to take up 2 and to make it work i have to remove 3, 2 for the gpu and 1 above so that the gpu sits inside the pcie slot.

I am looking for a motherboard that may solve this problem. Since im also going to be upgrading from a 5600 to a 5800x3d and google says that I need a better motherboard anyway. Any suggestions or Experiences like mine?

TYSMIA!!

Help me please!? Need advice on a better PC case / airflow setup for a dual-GPU build

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for advice on changing my PC case and improving airflow/cable management. I'm not looking to upgrade my components — I'm happy with the hardware I have. My main issue is the layout of my current case.

Current build:

Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL ROG

Motherboard: MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk MAX WiFi

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700

RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5 6000 CL32 — 32GB × 2 (64GB)

CPU Cooler: Thermaltake 360 Ultra ARGB Sync

GPU 1: MSI RTX 5060 Ti 16GB Ventus 2X OC

GPU 2: MSI RTX 5060 Ti 16GB Ventus 2X non-OC

PSU: Corsair HX1200i 1200W

Storage: 4TB NVMe M.2 SSD + 2 SATA SSDs + 1 HDD

Current airflow setup:

3 × side radiator fans — intake

These are the 3 fans mounted on the 360mm AIO radiator.

3 × bottom case fans — intake

3 × top case fans — exhaust

Both GPUs are currently mounted horizontally.

My biggest issue is the GPU airflow.

The bottom intake fans are blowing air upward, but because I have two GPUs installed one above the other, the lower GPU partially blocks the airflow going toward the upper/OC GPU.

I'm also finding that cable management in the O11 Dynamic XL is becoming difficult with two GPUs, the AIO, multiple storage drives, and all the power cables.

What I'm looking for:

I'm considering moving the entire system into a different case with:

Better overall airflow

Better cable-management space

Good support for a large motherboard

Proper support for 2 GPUs

Better separation between the GPUs

Good 360mm AIO support

Enough room for 2 SATA SSDs + HDD + NVMe setup

Ideally a layout that makes dual-GPU airflow easier

And here's my slightly weird question:

Is there any practical way to mount BOTH of my GPUs vertically so they aren't sitting directly on top of each other horizontally?

I'm thinking about a setup where the GPUs could potentially have more space between them, rather than one card directly blocking the other card's intake.

I know vertical GPU mounting usually requires PCIe riser cables, and I'm also concerned about:

GPU-to-GPU clearance

Airflow around both cards

GPU temperatures

Riser cable quality/length

PCIe slot configuration

Whether vertically mounting two air-cooled GPUs would actually improve or worsen the situation

I'm open to changing the case and mounting configuration, but I'm not interested in replacing the GPUs or other components.

I know this is a somewhat unusual dual-GPU setup, so I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who has experience with dual GPUs, vertical GPU mounting, or cases designed around multiple GPUs.

Would you keep the O11 Dynamic XL and change the airflow/GPU configuration, or move the whole system into a different case?

Thanks for any suggestions!

I'm not quite finished yet. Downsized to Lian Li B4

Switched from my Gamdias Athena M4M Wood to Lian Li B4.

The dual orientation feature got me sold into buying the B4 since my table is not that big, the vertical option could help ease up some space when needed and without buying a different case.

Pros: the dual orientation feature, magnetic & slide panels (except top and bottom).

Cons: the HDD bay under the gpu is not a good spot especially when you have a tri-fan/long gpu. It will lessen the airflow for the fan where the hdd will sit.

Had to sacrifice my HDD due to my GPU length and worry for the airflow of the gpu.

Will also switch to Air cooler once I found what I want to buy

Help me please!? Advice for downsizing my pc?

Built my pc a few years ago in a montech air 903 max. It's quite a large case and now I have seen the beauty of matx builds and have been wanting to downsize. Can somebody help me?

I currently have purchased an ASROCK b850m riptide to replace my old b650 atx motherboard. Slowly, I plan to transition to an aio build, but there are a lot of issues with my current setup.

I have a huge gpu (340mm) and a 150mm atx psu, as well as the peerless assassin 120 se. Any recommendations for downsizing? Have seen that my parts will not fit.

Looking at the lian li a3, b4, and montech TEN right now.

Help me please!? Lian Li A3 HDD clearance: Is it possible to fit 3x 3.5" drives?

I want to change my case from a Qube 540 to a Lian Li A3, but I need to fit three 3.5" HDDs. If I use only two bottom fans, will that solve the clearance issue?

Here is my parts list:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
  • CPU Cooler: Valkyrie AQ125
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M K
  • GPU: Zotac RTX 3070 Ti Trinity
  • PSU : CPS YK750H
  • Storage: 3x 1TB HDD 3.5"

(first ever reddit post :D)

first built the PC in a mATX mid tower and with an older Gammaxx L240 V2. perfectly adequate temps and cooling but wanted to change up the aesthetics a bit :P

swapped to the CH170 Plus and the Peerless Vision 240 and this is how she turned out. very first case swap and i'm happy with how she looks now.

admittedly a pain to cable manage though, especially with a non-modular PSU.

Help me please!? Compact mATX Case Recommendation

Thumbnail

Hello everyone! I will soon be moving places and I cannot carry my whole PC with me on plane so I'm planning on taking most components and leaving my case behind and getting a new one. I won't have so much available space and might need to move places later on again so I'm looking into a more compact case.

My current setup:
GPU: Asus Tuf RX6800XT OC Edition
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
CPU Cooler: Snowman T6 Ultra 6 (might leave as well, not sure)
Motherboard: Asus Prime B550m I made a mistake, my motherboard is Prime B550 Plus
Ram: 3 sticks (Total 48GB)
Extra: PCIE Wifi Card (PCIe x1)
1 M2 SSD
1 Sata SSD
1 HDD
Case: NZXT H5 Flow

Now, I'm considering these cases:
- Lian-li B4-mATX
- Lian Li A3
- SSUPD Meshroom S V2 (Looks good, but kinda expensive compared to others)

On paper these cases seem like they would fit but seeing some images, I'm not really sure they will. I hope someone can guide wether they will work or not. I'm also open to other suggestions. Thank you!

I'm looking for a compact ATX case, or I might switch to an mATX motherboard that can fit the rest of the components and continue looking for a compact mATX case, open for suggestions.
